Show Special Classes At Elementary z- The Farmington Elementary Elemen-tary School is having special 'classes after the regular school Jiotirs for students who wish to S:take them. 'i THERE HAVE been two Spanish classes with 50 students stu-dents enrolled and another JSpanishclassaswellasacom- , Cputer class have started again. r almost 100 students are in-: in-: :Volved in these classes. ; The PTA earned approxi mately $3,000 with a Read-a-thon last year and with previous pre-vious projects and money earned, there is now about $5,000 to be used for special projects. THE PTA has ppw purch-' purch-' ased two computers and the district has purchased two for the school. The classes will continue until the end of May. Volunteer Volun-teer mothers are assisting with these special classes which are held twice each week. More than 100 students are taking these classes in Spanish or computer at this time. Mothers are also helping train the second and third grades with junior great books. TENTATIVE plans for a "Great Brain" project are being made, according to Pat Sorensen. PTA president. There are also plans going ahead for school emergency evacuation programs with special spe-cial teams working on these plans and which should be ready to use in case of flooding. flood-ing. Farmington Elementary School could be in the path of flooding from Steed Creek, as there were problems in the spring of 1983.
