Feb. 12. KOR HIS project he planted' over 250 shrubs on the banks of a retaining pond in Woods Cross. He is an I I th grader at Woods Cross High School. He is a member of troop 769. Timothy Jewett. 15 year old son of Craig and Nancy Jewett of Centerville. recently received re-ceived his Eagle Scout award. TIMOTHY has participated in soccer with SDSA and wrestling with Viewmont. earning first place ribbons with both. He loves sports, especially espe-cially skiing and hopes to develop de-velop his skiing professionally. profession-ally. His Eagle project consisted of replacing and rejuvenating the basketball standards at the LDS Centerville Utah Stake Center. Brian Campbell, son of Fret" ic T. Campbell and Shar-'. Shar-'. Campbell. 13. received his Eagle Scout award on Feb. 22. He is a member of the Center-wile Center-wile Ward. FOR HIS Eagle project he made two large and 12 small easels for the Centerville LDS Slake Library. He has completed the mile swim. He is senior patrol leader lead-er and has been patrol leader and scribe. Brian is a 7th grader grad-er at Centerville Jr. High. Dennis Scott Jolley of Troop 105 Centerville 1st Ward received re-ceived his Eagle Scout award at a Court of Honor following the scout banquet on Saturday. Satur-day. Feb. 18. DENNIS IS 14 years old. born in Fullerton. Calif., but' has lived' in Centerville with his parents. Jerry and Sheila the past nine years. He is in the 9th grade at Centerville Jr. High and is on the honor roll. He has served in the Deacons presidency. The most enjoyable merit badge was truck transportation transporta-tion and getting to go to Reno. Nev. in a semi. FOR HIS Eagle project he put fences along the mountain road in Farmington. so vehicles vehi-cles would stay on the road and not cut trails on the mountain. Kyle R. Brown. 13 year old son of Boh and Chris Brown, received his Eagle Scout Award on Feb. 22. He is a member of the Centerville I2lh Ward Troop 833. FOR HIS Eagle project Kyle organized a clothing drive for a group in the Philippines. Forty young people helped him accomplish this goal. Kyle has served as patrol leader and has earned 29 merit badges. He is in the 8th grade at Centerville Jr. High. KYLE ENJOYS art. soccer and camping. His favorite merit badges were motorboat-ing motorboat-ing and aviation and art. Kyle expresses thanks to all his past and present scout leaders, lead-ers, especially Brian Gold. Jon Campbell and Chuck Madsen. his leaders during the time he was earning his Eagle. Curtis Jones. 14 year old son of Ray and Rcnee Jones. Farmington. became an Eagle Scout in a court of honor held Feb. 14. HE WAS spotlighted by his mother and Gourdin Olsen. a friend and scoutmaster, who told of experiences he had had with Curtis. His Eagle neckerchief was presented by his father. Ray Jones, and the pledge was read to him by Mr. Olsen. CURTIS' parents then presented pre-sented him with a large painting paint-ing of an eagle, painted by his grandmother. Lucille Fowler of Burley. Ida. Bountiful, received his Eagle Scout award at a special Court of Honor held Nov. 15. McGARIN IS a member of the Bountiful 35th Ward Troop 580 where he earned 30 merit badges toward his Eagle award and his Bronze and Gold Palms. For his Eagle project MeGarin organized, labeled and filed the periodicals Ionise by the general public at the Davis County Library. South Branch. MeGarin is an 8th grade honor student at Millcreek Jr. High where he is in Jazz Band and was Student of the Month in September. He also won a trophv at the Weber State College Col-lege Science Fair. He enjoys skiing, basketball, music and reading and plays soccer on the competitive level. |
