Show Heola Woman Is Critical After Road Mishap Mrs. Valene Knox, 18, who wao was seriously injured near Neola on Utah Highway 121 Tuesday evening, is reported in critical condition at the LDS hospital in Salt Lake City, where she was taken after receiving re-ceiving emergency treatment at the Roosevelt hospital. Mrs. Knox, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Dye, Neola, was struck by an auto driven by Clair J. Duncan, 24, Neola, according to police report. Mrs. Knox received a fractured pelvis, pel-vis, a broken right ankle and abrasions. The accident occurred about 7:15 p.m. Mr. Duncan told police po-lice he was driving south toward to-ward Roosevelt and had just passed an oncoming car when he saw Mrs. Knox apparently kneeling on the highway. He told officers he could not stop his r.-ar in time to avoid hitting the woman. |
