Show Sweetheart Ball At Union High Set For Feb. 14th Final plans for Uintah Basin's annual "Sweetheart Ball" slated Feb. 14 at Union High School gymnasium,, were laid this week by Uintah Basin Associated Student Stu-dent Council, said Lue Ann Morrill, Mor-rill, Tridell, group historian. Students of each of five participating par-ticipating institutions Union, Uintah, Altamont, Duchesne and Tabiona high schools were assigned specific duties for the affair. Gifts valued at more than $45 will be presented the Basin "Sweetheart" and her four attendants, at-tendants, to be named the night of the dance. Each school will :hoose its own queen as a candidate can-didate for the "Sweetheart" title that night, and runnersup will be' named attendants. A panel of five judges nominated nom-inated by the schools will judge the finalists on the basis of poise, appearance and personality, personal-ity, said Dale Ross, UBASC president. The dance is the only annual event sponsored jointly by the schools. The UBASC extended and invitation to all parents, friends and alumni of the schools as well as student bodies bod-ies to attend. Uintah High will be in charge of the orchestra and gifts; Duchesne Du-chesne High, floorshow; Union and Altamont, decorations, and Tabiona, programs. More than 200 couples are sxpected to attend the affair. |
