Show Legion Canteen Is For 'Teen-Agers On Saturday Nite Going into its third week, officers of-ficers and committeemen of Basin Ba-sin Post No. 64, American Legion Leg-ion in Roosevelt, are a slight bit disappointed at the way their Saturday evening 'Teen-Age Canteen has been going. It isn't that they haven't had a crowd on the two Saturday nights it has been opened quite the contrary, they had a big crowd each night. . . Trouble Trou-ble is, it is the pre-teen-ager? who made up most of the crowd and it is the youngsters of Junior Jun-ior and Senior High age they are trying to influence to join together on Saturday evening , from 8 to 10 p.m. in the Legion Leg-ion Barracks. A plea is being made by Rae Scholes, chairman of the committee, com-mittee, and others in the post, to parents of teen-agers to encourage en-courage their boys and girls to take advantage of this fine opportunity op-portunity for guided play. . . Also parents are urged not to let their 10, 11 and 12 year old youngsters go to the canteen on come, and will not be permitted Saturday They are not wel-to wel-to join in the program. |
