Show Mothers' March On Polio Netted $124.93 For Myton The "March of Dimes" program pro-gram was climaxed Thursday avening when Mrs. A. C. Tolboe and her co-chairman, Mrs. Rex Lamb started the Mothers' March on Polio, assisted by Mrs. fed Monks, Mrs. Calvin Monks, Mrs. Joseph Woolf and Mrs. Jack Giles. A complete canvass was .made of the town during the early hours of the evening. The response to the drive was very satisfactory according to Mrs. Tolboe, who reports that $124.93 was collected. The group found everyone was pleased by the personal contact and in response re-sponse were more liberal in their contributions. At the close of the evening's work the weary mothers were invited to the Tolboe home, where they enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by the chairman of the drive. Mrs. Jim Felter, who has been visiting her husband at Fort Ord, Calif., returned home last week. On her return she was accompanied by Mrs. Buddy Bird, who came as far as Duchesne. Du-chesne. The young wives expect their soldier husbands will soon be home on furlough. - Mrs. Lavar Peterson spent a few days in Salt Lake City, returning re-turning home last week. Mrs. James Dalgleish returned home from Salt Lake City. While there she received medi-.cal medi-.cal attention. Lowell Babcock, who is employed em-ployed in Salt Lake City, spent the weekend visiting his parents, TVtr at-H TVTrc Linnfl Rahpnnt :' Mr. and Mrs. Michael Iverson, of Orem, were visitors last week at the home of Mrs. J. F. Wilson and Mr. and Mrs. Ross Harmon, daughter and son of Mrs. Iverson. Iver-son. Jim Schurkers, who is attending attend-ing Wasatch Academy at Mt. Pleasant, enjoyed a brief visit at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Schurkers, Sunday. Sun-day. He returned to school Sunday Sun-day evening. Russell Gingell spent the weekend here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gingell, returning re-turning Sunday evening to' Eph-raim, Eph-raim, where he is attending Snow College. Dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Tolboe, Sunday, Sun-day, were Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Semken, prandparents of Mrs. Tolboe, and Fred Schobe. all of Gusher. Mrs. James Hill returned Saturday Sat-urday from Denver, where she spent a week visiting and attending at-tending to business matters. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Schuckers, Sunday, Sun-day, . were Mrs. Schuckers' brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Rounsly, and family, of Rangely, Colo. |
