Show A L T a r.i o n T By Lorraine Dastrup RE A Holds Annua Meeting; Officers Elected The annual R.E.A. meeting was held Feb. 2, at Altamont, with a very large number in attendance. at-tendance. The registration began' be-gan' at 10:00 a.m., with a free show at Altamont Theatre". At noon, a delicious lunch, under the supervision of Altamont Hot Lunch department, was served to those present. At 1:00 the meetings began with a program consisting of: Community singing, sing-ing, led by Floyd Ross; two vocal solos, by Veretta Gomm; talk, by E. L. Murphy; reading, Mr?. Grant Hansen; two vocal solos, Cecil Wall; two numbers, by the quartet, consisting of Alton Al-ton Thacker, Cecil Wall. Kay ; Wall and Curtis Dastrup. Many problems confronting the R.E.A. were discussed and board members for the coming year were elected. Those elected were: Fred Neumeyer, Parley Lambert, Thomas Gilbert, Clifford Clif-ford Roberts, Wm. Fieldsted, Ray Brown, Arthur Soderquist. However, the meeting was not adjourned but will be continued at a joint meeting with the telephone tele-phone company in June. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Prichett, of California, are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Montes. Mr. and Mrs. Jewel Kolb spent Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Chapier Bristol. A delicious de-licious lunch was served. R.E A. MANAGER IS NATIONAL DIRECTOR Louis Reese, manager of the R.E.A., was chosen "director from Utah in N.R.E.C.A. at the National Na-tional Convention in California. He reports that the meeting was very interesting and educational with approximately 6000 people, mostly directors and managers, in attendance. |
