Show Cougars Meet Morgan In Friday Tilt Morgan's Trojans invade Roosevelt Roose-velt Friday for a 1:15 p.m. battle with the Union Cougars, riding high after a 12-0 victory over Wasatch in last week's conference opener. The victory put the Cougars alongside North Summit, Judge Memorial and Uintah in the Regions Re-gions Six victory column. It was a different, pepped up Cougar eleven that broke out of its early-season lethargy to topple favored Wasatch in Heber City. The Cougars stayed pretty well on the ground and uncorked a three-man running attack that used improved blocking and a hard charging line to run around and over the Wasps. ALL OUT SUPPORT PROMISED FOR FRIDAY GRID GAME The Merchants committee of the Chamber of Commerce has been on the job the past couple of days and have come up with a promise that they will close for the Union-Morgan game on Friday. The Chamber proposed , the idea to the student body at the Cougar school, and they really accepted the idea wholeheartedly. whole-heartedly. Students printed up signs to be placed in the front doors advising patrons of the store they'd be closed from 1 to 3:30 p.m. for the game. It is a fine gesture of cooperation cooper-ation from the business houses toward the school one that will be appreciated by the students. stu-dents. It's a sure thing no merchants mer-chants will lose business from supporting Union's fine football team. Wasatch couldn't get a first down until the third quarter and their scat backs took a hard pounding from such linemen as Max Collotzi, Reed Harrison, Bob Labrum, Ken Bastian and others. At end, too, the Cougars showed marked improvement with both Shirl Rawlings and Gary McDonald sweeping repeatedly in to mess up Wasatch reverses. Halfbacks Norman Dye and Keith Horrocks and Fullback: Callis Morrill carried the mail for the Cougars, making up most of the. 282 yards the Cougars totaled on the ground.
