Show LADIES AID CLEANS MYTON CHURCH Members of the Ladies Aid held a work day at the. Presbyterian church Thursday. The building received re-ceived a thorough renovating and the reconditioning of the windows will be completed next week.. This will , leave the church in a sparkling sparkl-ing condition as all wood-work received re-ceived a new coat of varnish. : Mr. and Mrs. Lavar Peterson and four children arrived last week from Pasco, Washington to spend a short time here while Mr. Peterson attends to his . business and property interests. They1 are guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Courtland while here. Their oldest daughter and son will remain here to attend school while Mr. and Mrs. Peterson spend some time in Southern Utah where he wilL act as agent for a seed co. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Preecewere greeting old friends Thursday . as they paused for a short visit with Miss Alice Todd and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Todd. Mr. Preece is a son of Mr .and Mrs. Clair Preece, former Myton residents, made his home here . during his childhood. The Preece's now reside in Carson City, Nevada. Mrs. Homer Robinson returned last week from a visit to Salt Lake City and Twin Falls, Idaho where she visited her sons and daughters and their families. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Orr, former for-mer residents of Duchesne, visit ed briefly with old friends one day last week. They were en-route en-route to the ranch home of Mrs. Orr's brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Denzel Hemphill, where they spent the day. The Orrs were on a short vacation from their home in Hawthorne, California. . They were trying to see their friends in Duchesne and Myton and also visit their old home in Riverton and spend a few days with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Billie Orr and family in Springville. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Felter returned re-turned Tuesday from a short visit to Orem where they were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford McKenna. Mr. and Mrs. Atha Nance and family of Salem were weekend i visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Morrill and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Moulton. ATTENDED MEETING Miss Alice Todd, Myton Postmaster, Post-master, attended the convention of( the Postmasters of Duchesne, Uintah and Daggett Counties held at Roosevelt, Saturday. A business meeting and banquet weTe held at the Grill. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Denver and baby moved to Salt Lake Cityi Sunday where they will make their home during the winter. Mr. Den-j ver will attend the University of Utah. Mrs. Rex Lamb tok her small daughter. Connie to Salt Lake City Thursday where the little Miss received re-ceived a medical check-up. Dinner guests at the home of Mrs. Bliss Lott Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wheeler of White-rocks. |
