Show Our Team Wins The Bluebell softball team is the winner in the Moon Lake Stake Girls Softball Tournament held during the summer. The girls won every game they played. The teams from the wards honored them at a weiner roast at the Altamont rodeo grounds on Friday Fri-day afternoon after school. Miss Pauline Wiifkler was the leader of the team and much of the success suc-cess goes to her and the cooperation coopera-tion of the girls. The following girls participated on the team: Carolyn Goodrich, Janet Seeley, Rita Powell, Shana Lee Winkler, Carma Atwood, Jean Remington, Rosie- Bird, Phylis Powell, Jeanne Seeley, Mary Lee Lisonbee, La-Ree La-Ree Larsen and Pauline, v Mr. and Mrs. James W. Powell, Mrs. Lucy Timothy and Valarie and Teresa and June Powell went to Greenriver to spend two days visiting with relatives and attend melon day there. Mrs. Phylis Turner and children and Mrs. Lila Gale of Vernal spent Saturday here visiting with relatives. rela-tives. Mr. and Mrs- Bill Durphy of Salt Lake City spent the weekend here visiting with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Orland Murray and two children of Roosevelt spent Sunday here visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Murray. Mr. and Mrs- Azel Seeley of Ballard visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Seeley. Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Delmar Cook of Idaho Falls are here visiting with their uncle and aunt, Mr. ; and Mrs. James Cook. They also visited with other relatives. Mr. Cook was a resident of Vernal several years ago. Guest speakers at sacrament meeting Sunday were Wiley Cook, Linford Maxfield and Elder Udell Winkler. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Monson returned re-turned home Thursday after a week's vacation in Mexico. They visited their daughter and son-in-aw, LaRae and Hal McDonald. Hal is stationed in Mexico with the Air Force. |
