Show LAPOIHT Mrs. Mabel Jenkins School Fair Held Mrs. Taylor's third and fourth grades held their fair September 14. There were many animals, birds, fish, flowers, fruits, vegetables veget-ables and fancy work displayed. Martin and Ray Huber served melon to the class. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bigelow visited their daughter, Mrs. Norman Nor-man Long and children in Roose- velt Monday. -Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bigelow have gone to Provo to enroll at the BYU for the' coming year.' .Mr. and Mrs. Homer Lee and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lee and children chil-dren went to Douglas Creek, Colo, last Sunday and spent the day. Those attending the county workers party 'from Lapoint recently were' Mr. and Mrs. Ed Mowery, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Lee, Mr. and Mrs. Loyal Cox, Mr. and Mrs. Artben Hacking. A pot-luck lunch was served at the Doc Beach place in Vernal. Harvey Lee form Artesia, Colo, spent Saturday with his mother, Mrs. Rhoda Ann Lee. He has employment em-ployment at Red Wash. The Relief Society held their work meeting Tuesday. A lovely dinner was given by Mrs. Vonda Bigelow, Mrs. George Allred, Mrs. Delia Wooley and Mrs. Virgie Ras-mussen. Ras-mussen. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Vernon from Maeser and Reed Ross from Vernal were visitors of Mrs. Mary Jarrell and Ethel Taylor during the wek. SUNSHINE CLUB HONORS MEMBERS The Sunshine Club held their birthday party Sept. 13 in honor of Mrs. Annie Warburton's birthday birth-day at her home. The birthday cake was made by Merl Horrocks. A birthday present was given by the members and a lunch was served to Mr. Eliza Neilson, Mrs. Hattie Foster, Mrs. Ardith Huber, Mrs. Mable Jenkins, Mrs. Mary Jarrell and Mrs. Pearl Wooley, Mrs. Mae Sprouse and a visitor, Mrs. Dorothy Thompson. Mrs. Ed Larson and sons from Salt Lake City were visitors of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sike Thompson recently. Mrs. Rhoda Ann Lee has received re-ceived word that her son Lawrence was in the hospital in Rangely. Cloyd Kump from Salt Lake spent the weekend with his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Kump. Reed Harrison and Keith Horrocks Hor-rocks went to Heber to play on the Football team. Mr .and Mrs. Richie Stubbs from Davis Ward were visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins last Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Junior Stubbs and sons, Brent and Brian also visited Mr. and Mrs. Jenkins. Mr. and Mrs. Geogre Bigelow visited their daughter, Mr .and Mrs. Elroy Wilkins and family of Roosevelt during the week. Mrs. Thelma Winn and Mrs. Erva Huber of the M I A Stake Board were present at a meeting last Friday in Vernal. Mrs. Pearl Labrum and Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Justice are grandparents grand-parents of a son born to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Justice on Sept. 10 in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Reva Workman and daughters, daugh-ters, Nancy Jane and Janet from Myton visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins Sunday. . . i |
