Show Mrs. Garda Seeley Youth Dies Who Lived In Bluebell Word comes from Salt Lake City of the death of Leland Francis Darnell, age 17, who was living at 924 E. 2nd So,, on Saturday, Sept. 26th. He was born May 24, 1938, at Iowa City, Iowa, to Clarence and Anna Klafka Darnell. Survivors are his mother of Provo, a brother, Galen, with the U. S. Navy, Bremerton, Brem-erton, Wash., and a sister, Loretta of Strawberry, Duchesne County. Leland made his home here in Bluebell with the Orie Cook family fam-ily for some time. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in the Jenkins Funeral Chapel, and burial was in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Ceme-tery. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Goodrich and Billie Faith, Claudine and Wade, of Bonanza, spent Sunday visiting here with relatives. Billie Faith is training to be a nurse in a nurse school at Virginia. She is home on a six weeks' vacation. She will graduate in 11 more months. Mrs. Sadie Dennis of Winne-mucca Winne-mucca Nevada, is here visiting with her three sisters, Mrs. Zella, Sylvia and Mina Goodrich. Boyd Goodrich left last week for Salem, Utah, where he will teach school this winter. Little Maurine Duke is here staying with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Winkler, while her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Duke, are attending school at the BYU in Provo. Other students from Bluebell attending school at the "Y" are JoAnn Goodrich, Kent Remington, Pauline Winkler, Dal Seeley and Marilyn Jennings. Gardner Goodrich was brought home from the Roosevelt Hospital Hos-pital on Saturday, where he has been receiving medical treatment. Howard Todd left Sunday for Seattle to report for duty following follow-ing a month's furlough. Howard will leave soon for overseas duty. His wife and small s.on will remain here in Bluebell with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Winkler. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Anderson, of Granger, and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Anderson, of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend here visiting with Mr. and Mrs. John X. Anderson. Ander-son. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Hancock and Buddy and Helene, of Roosevelt, and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hancock and three boys of Salt Lake City visited on Saturday and Sunday here with Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Hancock. Han-cock. While here trie infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hancock was blessed in Sacrament meeting on Sunday and given the name of Gary Keith by his grandfather, Martin L. Hancock. . Mrs. Berniece Atwood and Mrs. Marolyn Clark received medical , care at the Roosevelt Hospital a few days last week. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Seeley and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Goodrich spent the weekend in Salt Lake City. While there they attended the Fair. Loren Goodrich spent Sunday and Monday here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Goodrich. Mrs. Nona Harwood and baby son returned to their home in Og-den Og-den following a few weeks' visit here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claud Mathews. Miss Ada Mathews returned to Ogden with her sister, Nona, for a visit. Ada is having a two two weeks' vacation from her work as "head nurse" -at the Roosevelt Roose-velt Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Ether Hancock, of Arizona, and Mrs. Anna Larsen, of Roosevelt, visited here with relatives rel-atives one day last week. They were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Goodrich. |
