Show UBIC Organizing Becomes City Problem Acting upon the advice of the 1955 officers, directors and committee com-mittee chairmen, and others who have been active in the past in promoting the annual UBIC, the city council and the retiring officers offi-cers of the UBIC, will meet jointly joint-ly to make appointments of a president and other officers to direct di-rect each succeeding convention. According to Mayor Paul Murphy, Mur-phy, the method in the past has been to call a general public meeting meet-ing to re-organize. In some instances, in-stances, people elected to office have declined to accept, and the committee is disorganized. It is the honest belief that the new idea will be a more intelligent and thorough way of choosing those to take over. Next Monday night has been set for the selecting of new officers, of-ficers, which will be done at a regular council meeting with last year's president, L. F, Hutchings, and his aids in attendance. |
