Show Leave To Visit With Their Family Mr. and Mrs. Syerl Dennis and three small daughters left Saturday Satur-day morning to take Mrs. Laura Dennis, Mr. Dennis' mother, to Phoenix, Arizona to spend the winter win-ter with her daughter, Mrs. Fern Tyler. They spent two days in Las Vegas visiting their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Nor-man Dennis. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis and daughters will continue on to Los Angeles, California to visit Mr. Dennis' sisters, Mrs. Mell'ie WnnHarrl and Mrs. Laura Henrv before going to Modesto, California to visit a brother, Dr. Vear Dennis. Their next stop will be at San Francisco to visit Mrs. Dennis' sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Wanda Baymiller, then on to Oroville, Calif, to spend a short time with another brother, Noel Dennis. They expect to return re-turn home by U. S. Highway 40 to Salt Lake, where they will visit briefly with three other sons, Clayton, Clay-ton, Kaye and Gale, and if all goes well they anticipate being at their own home in Myton on Saturday, Oct 8th. A long and interesting vacation trip, but many miles will be covered to greet their large family. Mrs. Homer Robinson visited in Salt Lake City and Layton from Tuesday to Friday to be with her son, William Robinson and family and her daughters, Mrs. Cleone Sprouse, Mrs. Wendall Workman and Miss Faye Robinson. Alan Todd and Homer Cook enjoyed en-joyed a few days in Salt Lake City last week to attend the State Fair. Miss Shirley Harmon returned Wednesday to Logan, after spend ing the summer vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Harmon. Har-mon. She will resume her studies at the Utah State Agricultural College. Col-lege. Mr. Harmon accompanied her to Logan, returning home that evening. eve-ning. Miss Sally Burgess, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Owen Burgess, left Wednesday for Logan, where she will enroll as a student at the Utah State Agricultural College. Miss Burgess is a graduate of Union Un-ion High School, class of 1955. Miss Pearl Rich, of Vernal, was a guest of Rolene Duke, Thursday evening, at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. Rollen Duke. The girls, joined the group of students who went to Lehi Friday to cheer the Union High School football team to victory. Among members of the team who attended from Myton My-ton were: Larry Ross, Roy Moul-ton, Moul-ton, Jerry Murray and Lynn Mor-rilL Mor-rilL ATTENDS CONFERENCE Mrs. LaRue N. Burgess, elementary elemen-tary school supervisor for Duchesne Du-chesne County School District, went to Salt Lake City, Thursday, to attend an administrations conference. con-ference. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Linck spent a few days in Salt Lake City, attending at-tending to business matters and visiting relatives and friends. They returned home Friday evening. Visitors at the home of Mrs. Bliss Lott are her daughter and son-in-law and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Tinsley and two sons, who arrived last week from Los Angeles, Calif, for a two weeks' visit. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Burton returned re-turned Thursday from Salt Lake City, where Mr. Burton received medical attention. During their absence ab-sence they visited in Midvale at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Biltz. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Todd and son, Philip, went to Salt Lake City Friday, to attend the Utah State Fair. They were joined there by their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Magley and tiny son, who came by plane from Jefferson Jef-ferson Valley, New York. The family fam-ily group returned to Myton Saturday. Sat-urday. Mrs. Magley was the former Nancy Todd. The Magleys will visit vis-it at the Todd home about two weeks before returning to their home in New York state. GOES TO HOSPITAL Mrs. Emery Nielson was taken to the Roosevelt Hospital, Friday morning, where she was under treatment until Monday, when she was sufficiently improved to be returned to her home. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Linck left Friday afternoon for Denver, Colo, where they will enjoy a visit of several days with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Charles. Denver, who are attending school there. Mrs. Ted Thomas went to Colorado Colo-rado Friday, to spend the weekend week-end with her daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. .Calvin Monks and family at their ranch near Hayden, Colo. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Gingell and baby and Mrs. Gingell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. McConkie of Tri-dell Tri-dell enjoyed a trip to copperton, Sunday, where they viewed the copper mining district and also visited in Salt Lake City before returning home that evening. They report a rainy day failed to dampen dam-pen the pleasure of their trip. Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish visited Sunday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Hildur Johnstun in Duchesne and enjoyed a brief visit vis-it with her house guest, Mrs. Marie Gerry, who is spending some time at the Johnstun home. Mrs. Gerry resided in Duchesne the same time the Dalgleishes resided there. Visitors last week at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Edwards Ed-wards were their daughter and granddaughter, Mrs. Golden But-terfield But-terfield and small daughter of Her-riman, Her-riman, Utah. Other visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Edsel Murphy and children of Salt Lake City, who accompanied ac-companied Mrs. Butterfield home, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Bowden, of Salt Lake City, were greeting old friends, Saturday and Sunday, as they visited in this district. Mr. and Mrs. Atha Nance, of Salem, Utah, are visitors at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Moulton. |
