Show 1 Joint Meeting To Hear Water Men On October 13th A joint meeting on Thursday. Oct. 13, between the Kiwanis and Lions clubs of Roosevelt is being planned at which time representatives representa-tives of the Utah Water and Power Pow-er Board are to be present and discuss late developments on the Upper Colorado River, and other water problems as they affect the .state as a whole. Expected to be ' in attendance are George D. Clyde, commissioner commission-er of inter-state streams, and Jay Bingham, assistant to Mr. Clyde. E. O. Larsen, prominent engineer and member of the Power and Water Board, is a possible visitor. It is understood that some special spe-cial awards will be presented at this meeting for outstanding work in the promotion of the Upper Colorado River project, and other water activities. Details are lacking lack-ing on this score. Bennie Schmiett, chairman of the Chamber of Commerce committee com-mittee on the Upper Colorado River Riv-er project, is arranging for the joint meeting. |
