Show J. Oil, Coal, Milk Contracts For Schools Are Let Contracts for the 1955-56 school term supply of gasoline and oil, coal and tires have been awarded by the Duchesne County Board of Education. Supt. Rowan C. Stutz has announced an-nounced that the contract to furnish fur-nish gasoline and oil for the district's, dis-trict's, needs during the coming year has been awarded to the Continental Oil Co. This company will supply the district's maintenance mainten-ance centers for school busses at Duchesne, Altamont and Roosevelt. Roose-velt. Eight bids for this contract were submitted to the district. The Carter Ranch Supply of Tabiona and Roosevelt received the contract to deliver coal to the schools in the county for $8.85 per ton from the Royal Coal Co. mines in Carbon County. This bid was one of 10 submitted. Tires for the district's school busses will be purchased through A. D. Morrill of Myton. Ten firms submitted bids to supply the 32 tire supply. Milk Contracts The Board of Education handed contracts to the Arden Dairy and the Hi-Land Milk Co. recently to furnish milk to the district's lunch centers. These two contracts were not on a bid basis. Arden Dairy will deliver milk to Union High School and the Roosevelt Elementary Elemen-tary School. Hi-Land Dairy will supply the lunch centers at the Roosevelt Junior High School, Neola, Myton, Duchesne, Altamont and Tabiona. Both companies will deliver one-half one-half pint paper cartons to the school lunch centers for 4 cents each. |
