Show State Fair News Altamont FFA left Friday at 9 o'clock for the State Fair, and stopped at Geneva Steel plant at 1 o'clock. Two guides took the group of 27 boys through the plant on an educational tour which took two hours to complete. The boys arrived in Salt Lake at 4 o'clock and checked into the Miles Hotel. After a swim at Wasatch Was-atch Springs, the group went to the fair grounds. Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. was spent viewing the exhibits ex-hibits at the fair; after which the FFA boys returned to Altamont. Reported by Gary Hansen Katherine Hartman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Hartman, exhibited ex-hibited her purebred Shorthorn bull calf and heifer calf at the Utah State Fair. Her bull calf won grand champion honors in the Jr. Bull division and her heifer calf took third place in Jr. Heifer class. Congratulations, Katherine |
