Show Violet Gentry 4-H Girls Have Swim Party Mrs. Paul Foote and Mrs. How-' ard Jones entertained the girl's of their 4-H Clubs at a swimming party at Lake Boren Thursday afternoon. af-ternoon. The girls enjoying the afternoon af-ternoon were Ilia Vaye Lemon, Louise Gentry, Marcia Lemon, Joyce Zobell, LaValene Donegan, Gloria Robison, Juanita Donegan. Howard Jones accompanied the v group. James Bacon, of Roosevelt, was a business visitor in Ioka last week. Mrs. Wayne Russon, of Roosevelt, Roose-velt, spent Friday with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Lemon. Mrs. M. J. Benson made a trip to Salt Lake City last Monday, returning the same day. Mr. and Mrs. James Lloyd and daughter, Dean, were guests of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Webb, of Artes-ia, Artes-ia, Colo., Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Hancock, of Phoenix, Phoe-nix, Ariz., visited Mr. Hancock's sister, Mrs. Marsh Donegan, last Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Gentry and daughters, Pat and Louise, made a trip to Mt. Pleasant Sunday, where Louise will enroll at Wasatch Academy for her junior year. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Foote were weekend visitors in Salt Lake. Ioka was well represented at the Duchesne County Fair Friday and Saturday. Mrs. Barbara McCarroll, of VernaL, spent Wednesday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Fausett. Bishop James Lemon and family, fam-ily, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Lemon and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Lemon and daughters, Ilia Vaye and Geniel, attended the Lemon reunion at Midway recently. James Lloyd spent 4 days at Brighton, where he attended an insurance convention. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Dart took their daughter, Glenna, ' to Mt. Pleasant, where she will be a sophomore at Wasatch Academy this year. Bishop and Mrs. James Lemon ; called on Mrs. Lemon's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Nelson, of Upalco, Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Ralph Dart went to Salt Lake, Friday, to attended the wedding wed-ding of her nephew, Allen Dennis, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Devere Dennis, former residents of Ioka. Mrs. Dennis and Mrs. Dart are ' sisters. Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Fulmer were Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Lloyd. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Spencer and children, Mr. and Mrs. Richard and family, all of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend holiday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Spencer. Paul Lemon and son, Lloyd, of Vernal, visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Lemon, Labor Day Weekend visitors at the Henry Nelson home were their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Green, of Roy, and Mrs. Harry Peacock and son, of Rangely. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Fausset and Mr. and Mrs. John Fausett motored motor-ed to Spanish Fork Monday. John will return to his base in California. |
