Show Summer School Maintenance Program For Duchesne County Completed; Eleola Remodeling Job Adds Efficiency The summer maintenance program pro-gram for school buildings has been completed in the Duchesne County School District, reports Supt. Rowan Row-an C. Stutz. This program, handled by the eight custodians of school buildings build-ings in the district, under the supervision su-pervision of Elwin Barker of Duchesne, Du-chesne, district maintenance foreman, fore-man, is outlined by Supt. Stutz as follows: Thorough cleaning of the Roosevelt Roose-velt Elementary, Roosevelt Junior High, Duchesne High and Tabiona High and Elementary; painting of three rooms at the Altamont Elementary, Ele-mentary, which were not included in the remodelling work at this school. Paint Classrooms At the Myton Elementary, two classrooms were painted, asphalt tile installed in lavatories, lavatory lava-tory built onto the school lunch building, building entirely cleaned and all floors refinished. Hallways were painted at the Duchesne Elementary, and asphalt tile was installed in the lower hallways and in two lower grade classrooms. The wainscoating in all the rooms was painted. Interior Inter-ior of the building was completely complete-ly cleaned and all floors refinished. refinish-ed. The school lunch room was remodeled re-modeled and enlarged at the Neola Elementary. This remodeling project proj-ect included installation of a new floor in the lunchroom and interior inter-ior painting. Two of the four classrooms were tiled; playground equipment was moved to a more favorable location to the west side of the building. This equipment, equip-ment, formerly located on the east side of the building, interfered with traffic and the loading dock for busses. Also, about 25 feet of sidewalk was built on the west side of the school building. |
