Show HOME FROM MISSION Sheren Asay, who has spent two and a half years in the mission mis-sion field, is at present enjoying his visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Seth Asay and family. Sheren Sher-en speaks of his mission as a highlight in his life. Mrs. Tom Shisler and George Bracken received word of the death of their cousin, Mrs. Nellie Hancock, of Salt Lake City, on Saturday. Mrs.. Hancock had lived at Bluebell' and also at Myton. Arlin Bellon, who has been home on furlough from Germany, went to Ft. Douglas last week for further assignment in the armed forces. His next place to be stationed sta-tioned will be Ft. Riley, Kansas. Doyle Bellon, of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend with his mother, moth-er, Mrs. Eva Bellon. Miss Marion Gardner, who is attending school in Denver, spent Labor Day weekend with her father, Delmar Gardner. At Fast Day exercises the baby son of Mr. and Mrs. Blake John-stun John-stun was given the name of Doyle Blake; the baby boy of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Winn was named Jeffrey Jeff-rey Boyd. Inda, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Brisbin, and Dianne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Emerson, were confirmed members of the church. The Sunday School class of Mrs. Ned Gines was taken to the Dye's swimming pool one evening last week, where they enjoyed swimming. swim-ming. Each child took something to eat and had a picnic there also. Mr. and Mrs. DeLor Maxfield, of Salt Lake City, spent Labor Day weekend at the home of Mrs. Maxfield's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hullinger. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Todd and son, who are enjoying a furlough in the Basin, attended Sunday School at Ballard, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John H. Cook spent a few days in Vernal last week. Mr. and Mrs. Alden White and family spent the weekend at Pro-vo, Pro-vo, with relatives. They enjoyed a family reunion while away. The "Rhythm Wranglers," under "Tex" Ross were in Southern Utah playing for entertainments over the weekend. The rodeo under the supervision of the LDS stake, was held Monday Mon-day and Tuesday evenings, after being postponed because of storm before. No MIA was held Tuesday because of the rodeo Mrs Marcelleen Jenkins, of Salt Lake City, has been a house guest of Delmar Gardner and daughters, recently. Mrs. Jenkins lived in our ward as a girl, and has many friends here. iBoyd Collins, son of Bishop and Mrs. Golden Collins, spent the weekend with his parents. He has had employment at Ogden during the summer months. Boyd and his sister. Gay, returned to Ogden on Tuesday to enroll in school for the coming year. Mr. and Mrs. Durell McMullin, who have spent a furlough with home folks, left Friday for Ta-com-, Wash., where Durrell is stationed sta-tioned with the armed formes. They were accompanied as far as Salt Lake City by Mrs. Lynn Bracken. Miss Mary Hullinger, who has spent the summer months with her sister, Mrs. Kent Gneitting, and other relatives in Idaho, has returned home to enroll as a sophomore at Union High School. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Angus and baby, of Logan, were weekend guests of Norman's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Angus. Norman is attending school at the U.S.A.C. and also has employment there. The Bee Hive girls, with their leaders, Mrs. Carol Betts and Mrs. Eva Bellon, joined the Scouts with their leader, Von Haslem, at the Hasl'em home in Alterra, where they all enjoyed a party, Tuesday, with lovely refreshments. |
