Show Twice As Many First Class ( Scouts Enrolled "Two and one-half as many boys of the Roosevelt District are First Class Scouts now than were October 19, 1954, according to Sharon Cummings, Roosevelt District Dis-trict Advancement Committee Chairman. "The increase from 17 boys to 43 who are First Class Scouts is a very healthy condition," continued con-tinued Mr. Cummings who reports the increase due largely to the participation of scoutmasters with their boys in the monthly district Courts of Honor. In spite of the very healthy condition which has taken place in the advancement phase of scouting during the past 10 months Mr. Cummings also " points out that we are only, "half way to the national goal of 40 first class scouts by January 1, 1956." ."Scouts who have achieved the First Class rank arte qualified hikers and campers and have demonstrated their willingness to abide by their promise in living up to the Scout Oath and Law," Mr. Cummings concluded. |
