Show Former Roosevelt Miss Speaks Ifovs In Buhl, Ida. Nuptial vows were exchanged by Miss Treva Ann Gabbert, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Gabbert, of Buhl, Idaho and Michael Mich-ael Weeks of Rupert, Idaho. The Gabberts are former resident of Roosevelt, where Mr. Gabbert was manager of the local Safeway Store a few years ago. The double-ring ceremony was performed Sunday, Aug. 21, by Rev. A. M. Thomas, Methodist pastor, pas-tor, at the home of the groom's parents. Tall baskets of vari-col-ored gladioli provided the background back-ground for the ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her father and wore a white embossed cotton dress with a jacket. Pearls and rhinestones trimmed trim-med the peplum of the jacket. She wore white accessories and carried car-ried a white Bible centered with an orchid. Sharon Kay Gabbert attended her sister as maid of honor and was attired in a biege princess style dress with white accessories and a red rosebud corsage. Jack Teaters, Kimberly, acted as best man and the wedding march was played by Joan Weeks, sister of the groom. Mother of the bride chose a grey afternoon dress and the groom's mother wore an aqua afternoon dress. Both had red rose corsages. The three tiered wedding cake, which was served at a reception following the ceremony was decorated decor-ated in white with pink rosebud trimming and topped with a bride and groom encircled with a heart. It was made by the groom's aunt, Mrs. Mayme West. Kay Gabbert was in charge of the guest book and Joan Weeks assisted at the gift table. The bride graduated from the Burl'ey High School with the class of '54, and Mr. Weeks is a graduate grad-uate of the Rupert High School. The wedidng trip had to be postponed post-poned because of the groom's broken neck, which he suffered just a week before the wedding. He is a patient at the Magic Valley Val-ley Hospital in Twin Falls. |
