A farewell party is planned for Friday night. New Director is ' Mrs. Roberts; Theme Is Chosen Altamont will host the annual P-TA Regional Conference for Duchesne Du-chesne County, Friday, Sept. 16, according to Mrs. Howard Roberts of Myton, newly appointed Re-ional Re-ional director of Region VI. Theme for the convention will be, "Better Team Work for Better P-TA." A dinner will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Altamont lunch room for visiting board members, council coun-cil members and principals. This will be followed by a general, session ses-sion at 7:00 p.m. for all P-TA unit officers, committee chairmen and anyone interested in the P-TA program. pro-gram. A panel discussion will be presented to provide , instruction on what the individual jobs are in P-TA and how members can work together as a team to get the job done. Department sessions will then follow under the direction of the board members. Adjournament will be at 10:00 p.m. Board members planning to be here to conduct the conferences in Altamont and Vernal are Mrs. H. Cecil Baker, president of the Utah Congress of Parents and Teachers; Dr. J. C. Moffitt, Mrs. George H. Jones, Mrs. Youngs McGregor, Mrs. Vera Gee, and Miss Winifred Hazen. Excellent instruction will be given by the board members from the Utah Congress and Mrs.. Roberts Rob-erts suggests that every P-TA officer of-ficer and chairman circle the date of Friday, Sept. 16, and attend the conference at Altamont. The following morning a like conference will be held at Vernal, commencing at 9:00 a.m. with a luncheon at noon scheduled for the Uintah Council, and board members. |
