Show BIRTHDAY PARTIES Two birthday parties have been held at Dyes swimming pool in Neola. Daniel Kolb celebrated his 15th birthday by taking a group swimming on 'June 27. A picnic lunch including the birthday cake was enjoyed afterwards. July 5th Grace Kolb celebrated ' her 13th birthday with a swimming party after which cake and ice cream were served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lerdahl. Mrs. Rondo Harmon and children chil-dren returned from their vist to Oklahoma. They spent an afternoon after-noon visiting Mr. Harmons brother David in Witchita, Kansas, who is serving on a mission in the Central Cen-tral States. Rondo Jr. returned with his foot in a cast, having suffered two broken toes while sliding down a 'slippery slide." The' bones are mending nicely and the cast has been removed. Dennis Bowthorpe, of Holladay is spending his vacation with his cousin Carl Mohlman. A 4th of July gathering was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jewell. Kolb where a display of fireworks was the highlight of the evening. The children lighted sparklers and toested marsh-mellows marsh-mellows over a bonfire. Watermelon Water-melon was enjoyed by all present which included Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Palm and three children, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Iorg and family and Mrs. Dorothy Farnsworth and children. Mr. and' Mrs. Bernell Buchanan and family made a business trip into Salt Lake on Wednesday. Mrs. Buchanan and children remained in Salt Lake visiting Mr. and Mrs. Richard Buchanan and family and returned home Thursday. Mrs. R. W. Rust returned home from the hospital in Roosevelt Friday. He had been hospitalized since the previous Sunday. Coleen Nielson and boys have gone to Vernal to stay at the home of her sister, Mrs. Karl Allen while Mr and Mrs. Allen are vacationinH in Colo. Mr. and Mrs. LeVer Bently visited visit-ed in Salt Lake at the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Richardson. Glen A. Case and Joyce Barlow made a short visit Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Case. Also visiting at the Case home were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur L Case and Norma and Scott of Bountiful. Arthur plans a business trip to Moab and Grand Junction, Colo, after which he will' return for his wife and children who are visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Orr. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Ed Crosby Sunday was their son, Earl Crosby and Joyce Spencer. Mr. and Mrs. William Evans were hosts Sunday at a family dinner in their home. Present were Mr and Mrs. Dale Crozier and family, Mr. and Mrs. Fey Miles and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Crosby and family of Salt Lake, Bishop and Mrs. Mecham and family Mr. and Mrs. Edward Crosby and their guests. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bently and son, Robert visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Dastrup. Their son, Marvin has spent the past month with the Dastrups. The Bentlys have bean called to preside over the North Mexican Mission. The Altamont "Farmers" played Duchesne at Altamont and were defeated by a score of 10-14. |
