Show ore Workers For Fair Accept Call To Assist More committee chairmen and committee members have ben announced an-nounced as workers for the 1956 Duchesne County Fair. Weston Bates, board chairman states . Mrs. Connie Robbins of Duchesne has accepted the parade chairmanship, and Archie Larsen of Arcadia is livestock committee chairman. Livestock committee members are Alfonzo G. Madsen, Duchesne, beef production; Kenneth Carlile, Tabiona, dairy division;. Harvey Gee, Duchesne, swine division; Winslow Rhoades, Hanna, sheep division. This week, 250 bumper 'decais are being distributed throughout the county advertising the county fair. These decais have black .background with illuminated red lettering announcing the 1956 county fair dates as August 30-31, September 1. (Continued From Page 1) grounds chairman, reports construction con-struction of new rodeo corrals is progressing steadily and will be completed prior to the fair week. Mr. Davis and other volunteer volun-teer workmen are rebuilding these corrals from poles which Mr. Davis and Bates cut and hauled to the fairgrounds. Other supplies sup-plies for the construction is being puchased by the fair board, including in-cluding bolts, nails and wire. There will i be seven chutes and seven different corrals. Other fairgrounds improvements scheduled for this year are a general clean-up of the area and road grading, Mr. Bates said. Plans are underway for another kids' fish derby at the fair this year. Troy Bailey is in charge of this special feature. The next meeting of the fair board will be held at 8 p.m. at the board room at the ' Duchesne County courthouse. Fair board members, committee heads, and mayors of cities and towns in the county are among the fair workers expected to attend the meeting. |
