Show Cecelia Gilbert July 4 Visitors There were several family gatherings gath-erings and family outings over the fourth of July holiday'. Among them were the following: The Bill Tanner family spent the day at Yellowstone in the Uintahs. Mrs. Rose Gilbert of Myton, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Murphy and children of Salt Lake, Briant Gilbert of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs- Howard Gilbert and family of Tabiona, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gilbert and babies of Tridell and Mr. and, Mrs. Garn Gilbert and family spent the day with Mr. and Mrs. LeGrand Gilbert. Mr and Mrs. Arch Larsen and family of Arcadia, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Holgate and family of Myton, My-ton, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Peterson and two children of Myton and Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Freston and son, Lyle of Roosevelt spent the 4th of July in Uintah canyon. Amos and Flora Gagon and two babies spent the holiday with Mrs. Gagons' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Thompson. The families of Thomas M. Gilbert Gil-bert and Mr- and Mrs. Jack Gilbert Gil-bert celebrated the fourth of July together at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Gilbert. BABY BLESSED Mr. and Mrs Dan Pace of Mont-wel Mont-wel were visitors at church Sunday. Sun-day. The occasion was the christening christ-ening of the baby son of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Johnson. The little man received the name of Irvin Junior. Mr. Pace is a brother of Mrs. 1 Johnson-Rose Johnson-Rose Gilbert of Myton, Mrs. Ed Murphy and children of Salt Lake attended church here Sunday Sun-day and spent the remainder of the day visiting relatives and friend's. They were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. LeGrand Gilbert. Milt Larsen became ill early Monday morning. He was taken to the Roosevelt hospital where he was treated for lung hemorage. He remained in the hospital for a week and then returned1 to his home where he is recovering satisfactorily. Last week when Max Ross came from his job in Thurnburg, Colo, to visit his family he had the misfortune of breaking down his car. He had to leave it in Roosevelt to be repaired. Mr. and Mrs. Arch Larsen went with Mrs. Ross to drive the repaired car back to Thornburg. After visiting with Max the two families returned re-turned home. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Heskman and daughter, Neva, from Oakland, Calif., also Mr. and Mrs. Austin Beel and daughter, Joyce visited Thursday, June 28 at the home of Mr. and Mrs, LeGrand Gilbert. Friday the three families met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Mecham in Mt. Home for dinner and a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Beal and daughters, Janice and Marsha, of Salt Lake were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. LeGrand Gilbert Thursday night. They returned to their home Friday, taking Joyce with them. She has spent some time at the Gilbert home. Mr- and Mrs. Ralph Shields and daughters arrived' from their two weeks stay in Southern Calif., to spend the fourth of July at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. Marvin G. Shields. Mr. and Mrs. Del Jacobs and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Lindsey of Tooele were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. M- G. Shields. Mrs. Jacobs and Mrs. Lindsay are nieces of Mr. Shields. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Evans and' two babies of Provo visited at the Chad Evans home Saturday. Also as overnight guests at thei Evans home were Briant Anderson and son, Roger and Gary of Bountiful. The other son, Briant, Jr. has been spending the summer with the Evans family. LeGrand and Howard Gilbert made a business trip to Salt Lake Thursday. Connie Jayne and Layne Johan-sen, Johan-sen, children of Mr- and Mrs. Nel-don Nel-don Johansen of Grand Junction, Colo, have been visiting their , grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Johnson. Coleen Bell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Bell, is spending a month in California with an aunt. Naomi Gilbert drove in from Provo Friday evening to spend the weekend with her family. PARTY GIVEN A ward party was given recently recent-ly in honor of Mr. and Mrs. La Von Horrocks of Rangely, Colo. The evening was spent in dancing and a few program numbers. Hugh Evans was master of ceremonies. Rulon Gilbert made the gift presentations. pre-sentations. Light refreshments were served by the MIA. Out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Grant Peel of Altamont, Alta-mont, Mr. and Mrs. Verl Roper and son, Allen of Upalco, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird, Deon, Delaine and Mildred of Roosevelt. |
