Show Institute Held For County Teachers At 171 y ton School Duchesne County teachers met at Myton Wednesday in the first of a year's schedule of three institutes in-stitutes designed to iron out such teaching problems as discipline, contact with parents, activity programs pro-grams and other matters. Kay Allen, professional relations director of the Utah State Education Educa-tion Association, moderated the opening panel discussion in which four visitors gave "positive and negative" examples of action or conduct by teachers. Teachers then discussed the examples. Visitors who participated in the panel discussion included Porter Merrill of Duchesne, Charles Edwards Ed-wards of Roosevelt and Glen Bowman Bow-man and Mrs. Rita Hanson of Altamont. After a dinner in the school lunch room, the teachers were to continue the institute with more round-table discussions, question and answer sessions and other activities. |
