V --L-,:.- ...... .t f i jf .. ? jj ; - . t . ...m...,- DUCHESNE COUNTY'S ENTRY In the Utah Dairy Princess Dairy Queen contest to be held Friday and Saturday at the Utah State Fair, is Miss Valoy Reynolds, pretty brown-eyed daughter of Mrs. Carlyle Reynolds of Roosevelt. She won the title of Miss Duchesne County on Aug. 30 at the county fair. Valoy Reynolds leaves For Iliad Queen Cosriesv f Miss Valoy Reynolds, 17, daughter daugh-ter of Mrs. Nettie Reynolds, and title winner of the Miss Duchesne County contest, left Wednesday to vie with twenty-four other contestants con-testants for the crown of Utah Dairy Princess-Queen of the State Fair. Competition will begin Friday and run until Saturday evening, Sept. 22, when one of the twenty-four twenty-four lovely finalists will be named the winner after two days of judging. The winner will compete in Chicago in the American Dairy Association's Dairy Princess contest, con-test, Oct. 5, 6, 7. She will tour Utah with several dairy leaders to present gifts of Utah's famous cheese to mayors and publishers of leading communities. com-munities. Next year she will reign over the State Fair. Valoy, who has brown eyes and brown hair, enjoys playing the piano, which she will do for her talent performance. She also likes to play tennis, and enjoys cottage cheese served with pineapple. Accompanying Miss Reynolds was Mrs. Douglas McKinlay, chairman chair-man of the County contest. |
