Show Area Postmasters Meet At Roosevelt Saturday r By Mrs. Thelma Nye TABIONA (Special) The annual postmasters' banquet and business meeting will be held in Roosevelt at the Frontier Grill Saturday, Sept. 22, according to Mrs. Jessie L. Maxwell, Duchesne County Director Di-rector of the National Postmasters Association. Mrs. Maxwell, who is postmaster postmast-er at Tabiona, states the business meeting will begin at 2 p.m. with all postmasters of Duchesne County Coun-ty and their assistants invited to attend. Also attending will be the Uintah County postmasters and assistants and the two postmasters from Daggett' County, Elwen Williams Wil-liams and Julia Harper. Mrs. Maxwell reports several distinguished guests will, be present, pres-ent, headed by George E. McDonald, McDon-ald, District Mangaer of Postmasters, Postmast-ers, of Salt Lake City. Also, attending at-tending will be Mrs. Fern Barker, Wellington postmaster, who is secretary-treasurer of the state organization. Postmaster W. Raymond Ray-mond Green and wife of Provo will also attend. Mr. Green is District Director of several counties coun-ties which include Duchesne and Uintah counties. Postmaster William H. Case of Duchesne will be master of ceremonies. cere-monies. Postmasters Frank Slaugh of Vernal and Arvin Bellon of Roosevelt will handle the question box detail. A short program consisting of community singing lead by Mrs. SLaugh and some special musical numbers from Roosevelt will pre-, ceed the banquet. I |
