' Birnell left Neola dn his early ears He resided in Price, Utah during his early married Jife, and '' (den moved to McKinnon where i he took up ranching. v The funeral was held in Mc-gnnon Mc-gnnon at the ward chaepl on sept. 14, and his burial was in price on Sept. 15. His eleven brothers and sisters and their wives and husbands excepting ex-cepting one attended the funeral an(f burial in addition to his three daughters and one son- He has a son," Arnold, in the Air Force. A lunch was served in McKinnon McKin-non after the funeral services, and another lunch was served after ; the burial in Price at the home jof Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Marx. !j;rs. Marx is a daughter of Mr. Olsen. ' a family dinner was held at Hav'den Sept. 14 in honor of Orr Gardner who is 76. The dinner was at his home, and those in attendance were his daughters and sons and their children and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Oberhansly. Misses Ann and Dorothy Petersen Peter-sen who are employed ' dn Salt Lake City came here to spend the weekend. Dorothy recently returned return-ed from a mission and had to report re-port in the Stake quarterly conference. con-ference. They and their grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. James O. Petersen, returned to Salt Lake City Sunday evening. The grandparents grand-parents will visit there with a son and daughter until after the October conference. Mrs. Delia Spencer who has under the care of a doctor for several months went to Salt Lake City Sunday for a checkup. She will visit with her son, Devere, in Kaysville before returning to her home. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Mitchell of Neola and Mr .and Mrs. Mel Pier-son Pier-son of Montwel left Monday for a two-week tour to Oregon, Washington Wash-ington and Canada. NEW HIGH COUNCILMAN , Charles Crozier, first counselor for the Neola bishopric, was sustained sus-tained as a high councilman in Roosevelt during the quarterly conference Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Asay of Salt Lake City paid a visit at the Seth Asay home here over the weekend. Mrs. Seth Asay returned return-ed to Salt Lake City with them to look for a home where they plan on moving soon- Mrs. Elvina Johnston is here taking care of the Asay children. Mr. and Mrs. Squire Mangum of Ballard will take over the Asay residence. Miss Marilyn Petersen, who has been home for the summer wil! return to Logan soon to start her fall quarter at the USAC. MISSIONARIES' GREETINGS Elder Kenneth Brighton who returned re-turned from the Gulf States mission mis-sion recently made a visit to the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Dellis Spencer and Mr. and Mrs. Ferris Henrie. He reports Elder Rawlin D Spencer and Elder Gerald Henrie send their love and greetings greet-ings to the people of Neola and state they are well and happy and are enjoying their mission. Word was received by Mr. and Mrs. , Howard Whiting that their daughter, Carolyn, and little son, Dwight, reached Boston safely after a two-month vacation in the Basin, at Salt - Lake City and at Scipio, where Caroyln's aunt, Mrs. Boyd Sorensen, lives. |
