Show Saturday Rites Unite Miss j Joni Funk And Dale Larsen Myton (Special) Immediate members of the families fam-ilies and a few close friends were present when an impressive double ring ceremony united Miss Joni Funk and Dale Larsen as they recited their wedding vows Saturday, Satur-day, September 15th at 7:00 p.m. at the Myton LDS Relief Society rooms. Setting for the ceremony was a flower banked back ground of tall baskets of gladioli and dahlias with lighted caldleabra. Bishop Clark Roberts of Myton LDS ward officiated. A vocal solo, "I Love Yoy Truly" by Mrs. Lloyd Fenn accompanied by Mrs. Sherl Dennis preceeded the ceremqny. The wedding march was played by Jeraldine Denver. The bride was escorted to the altar by her brother, Howard Funk, who gave her in marriage. The lovely bride chose a floor length gown of ruffled nylon tulle with panels of lace over white satin-designed with a fitted bodice of lace with scalloped neck line accented by delicately tinted sequins. se-quins. The long sleeves tapered to lily points at the wrist. Her short veil of sheerest illusion fell from a cap of seed pearls and she carried a small shower bouquet of baby orchids accented with orchid or-chid satin ribbons. Mrs. Merlyn Reynolds, the only sister of the bride, was matron of honor, wearing a ballerina length gown of lavender I metalic crystallure. Other attendants atten-dants were Mrs. Howard Funk, Mrs. Charles Denver, Mrs. Lloyd Fenn, Miss Celia Kay Jenkins and Miss Shirley McConkie, all wearing ballerina length gowns of lavender laven-der brocade. Each carried a nosegay nose-gay of orchid and white mums with streamers of orchid ribbons. The pretty flower girl, Melodie Reynolds, niece of the bride, wore a ruffled frock of orchid taffeta and carried a white basket of small mums. Ford Larsen, brother of the groom stood as best man.. Mother of the bride chose an after, five gown of pink brocaded faille while the grooms mother wore an after five beige taffeta gown. Alan Todd was usher. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. George F. Funk and the late Mr. Funk while the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Clair Larsen of Roosevelt. A reception followed immediately immediate-ly in the Myton LDS Ward Chapel where tha newlyweds, families and attendants greeted guests. Cecil Ce-cil Jenkins, uncle of the new Mrs. Larsen acted as master of ceremonies cere-monies introducing the following program: Accordion solo, Rudy Krissman; vocal solo, Mrs. Lloyd Fenn;. piano solo. Miss Celia Kay Jenkins; vocal solo, LeRoy Anderson; Ander-son; reading, Mrs. H. C. Cooper. Dancing to the music of Reynolds' Orchestra was enjoyed. A . lace covered table centered by a tiered wedding cake decorated decor-ated in lavender and topped by a minature bride and groom graced the reception room where Mrs. LaVor Dennis, Mrs. P. E. Church, Mrs. Rex Lamb and Mrs. J. Wesley Wes-ley Jenson ware in charge of serving. serv-ing. The gift room was attended by Mrs., Cecil Jenkins and Mrs. Garn Bodily. A charcoal colored striped sheath topped by a charcoal duster dust-er with pink accessories was selected se-lected by the bride as her going-away going-away ensemble for a honey moon trip to Salt Lake - and southern Utah parks. After their return they will make a home in Salt Lake where the groom will attend at-tend the University of Utah. |
