Show BETTY K. WAGSTAFF DUCHESNE Funeral services servic-es were held today, Thursday, at the Duchesne L.D.S. stake chapel cha-pel for Mrs. Betty Minerva Kof-ford Kof-ford Wagstaff, 20, who died Sunday at 12:15 p. m. at the home of her mother, Mrs. Sena Kofford, following an extended illness. Bishop Porter L. Merrell conducted the services and burial bur-ial in the Tabiona cemetery was under the direction of the Olpin Mortuary of Roosevelt. She was born Nov. 4, 1930, in Helper, a daughter of Hyrum Emanuel and Sena Olsen Kofford. Kof-ford. On May 29, 1948, she was married to Claude Gale Wagstaff at Tabiona. She was a graduate of Duchesne high school and active ac-tive in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Primary and Sunday school. She also graduated from the Duchesne Du-chesne L.D.S. seminary. She resided re-sided in Oregon from 1940 to 1946. The following program was conducted in her memory: The Wadley sisters of Tabiona sang, "It Is No Secret What God Can Do;" invocation, Edward Ed-ward E. Rich; Voy Fairbanks sang "In The Garden," after which Bishop Bernell Turnbow, of Tabiona, Bishop Porter L. Merrell, Duchesne, Bishop Cloy Peterson, Wellington, a cousin of the deceased, eulogized the patient, unselfish life of Mrs. Wagstaff and offered words of comfort and encouragement to the bereaved family. The Wadley sisters sang, "May the Good Lord Bless and Keep You;" Levi Anderton offered the benediction. The grave in the Tabiona cemetery was dedicated ded-icated by Joseph Rhodes, of Tabiona. Ta-biona. Pallbearers were Betty's five brothers, Cecil, Leo, Jay, Lorln and Emanuel, and a brother-in-law, Leland Wagstaff. Survivors include her husband, hus-band, Tabiona; a daughter, Char-lena Char-lena Gay Wagstaff, Tabiona; five brothers, Cecil L. Kofford, Boneta; Leo O Kofford. Bloom. Kan.; Andrew J. and Emanuel J. . Kofford, both of Redmond, Ore.; and Lorin L. Kofford. Bend, Ore.; six sisters, Mrs. Nel-da Nel-da Hill, Colleen Kofford. and Karine Kofford. all of Duchesne; Mrs. Louise Christenson. Salt Lake City; Mrs. Rachel Bellamy, Portland. Ore.; and Mrs. Donna Maxwell, Worland, Wyo.; and her mother, Duchesne. |
