Show links W. G. Avery Former Alterra Student Dies In Motor Accident I Word has been eceived from Mr. and Mrs. Martin Barrett, : of Buena Park, California, that ! Danny Mano, Mrs. Barrett's brother, was killed Sunday, iJuly 29, in a motorcycle accident acci-dent as he was on his way from Buena Park to Merced! California, Cali-fornia, where he was stationed j in an army camp. I Danny will be remembered as a former Alterra high school j student. Mrs. Ivan Duncan and family left Friday for Grand Junction, Colorado, to spend a few days on vacation. Mrs. Clair Haslem and son. Billy, of Lecton, were visitors at the Clinton Betts home on Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wheclor visited in Price Saturday, where they attended the final performance perform-ance of the Blaek Diamond Stampede. Lowell Whiteman, Miss Pris-cilla Pris-cilla Johnson and a group of five boys from the Whiteman Boys Ranch, Steamboat Springs, Colorado, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler Sunday and Monday while here to attend the Sun Dance. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Drum-mond Drum-mond and little daughters, Christine Chris-tine and Annette, of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Florence Drum-mond, Drum-mond, of Carson City, Nevada, are visitors this week at the home of Mrs. Stanley Van Ars-dall Ars-dall and Mrs. Robert L. Mari-mon. Mari-mon. Sr. Miss Rosa Bird Mar-imon Mar-imon returned with them after : spending several weeks in the city. Last Wednesday the Rt. Rev. i Richard Watson and his family, 1 accompanied by Mrs. Joseph T. Hogben and son, Michael, vis-I vis-I ited St- Elizabeth's mission and ' Whiterock's friends. Bishop Wat-son Wat-son is the missionary bishop .of I Utah district and came to inspect in-spect the church buildings here. , The Rev. John Moulton and ' family visited St. Elizabeth's mission Thursday. Father Moul- ton is a son of the retired Bishop of Utah and has been on f ur-I ur-I lough in Salt Lake City. In I September he will return to j Honolulu, where he is chaplain at Iolani boarding school for boys. Mrs. William G. Avery and grandson have left for Nashville, Tennessee, where they will visit Mrs. Avery's sister and then go to Chattanooga to visit and to attend to family business. |
