Last week-end the Malins entertained family members from various parts of the state in honor of their houseguest. Hospitalman Charles O. Als-berg, Als-berg, son of Dr. and Mrs. J. P. Alsberg, of Fort Duchesne, left Wednesday for his base at Camp Pendleton, California, after a seven day leave granted prior to his being transferred to overseas duty. Mr. and Mrs. Ned Bellon and sons, Biff and Phillip, returned home Friday after enjoying two weeks in Sacramento and San I Francisco. They took Mr. Bel- Ion's sister, Mrs. Alton Robinson, ! to her home in Sacramento after I'she had visited here a week. Miss Peggy Oldroyd and Miss Joyce Rogers left last Saturday 'for a week's vacation trip to Bryce and Zion canyons. They stopped enroute to visit relatives rela-tives and friends in Richfield. It is a vacation trip to Yellowstone Yel-lowstone Park and Denver for 'Mr. and Mrs. Steve Bellon and iMr. and Mrs. Marvell Neilson and children ,who left last Saturday, Sat-urday, planning to be gone about 10 days. Visitors at the Cliff Rockwood residence last week-end were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Layton and Mrs. Ella Gallacher, of Salt Lake City. They enjoyed a fishing fish-ing trip up Uinta canyon, where they were joined Sunday by the Rockwoods. "A beautiful baby and good as a little angel" is the description descrip-tion given of the two-week-old daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Paul Stringham. Paula Jean, the newly new-ly adopted infant, arrived at her home in Roosevelt with her j parents Tuesday, from Salt Lake ! City. She weighs 7 lbs. 10 oz., and has been wholeheartedly received re-ceived by her two-year-old brother, broth-er, Chuck. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Cunningham in Fort Duchesne Du-chesne were Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Ce-cil Cunningham, of American Fork. Rexine and Larene Cunningham Cun-ningham returned with them for a bnef visit in American Fork. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Johnson and children, Larry and Re-bekah, Re-bekah, returned home Monday after spending six weeks in Los Angeles, where Mr. Johnson attended summer school at the University of Southern California. Cali-fornia. They report a wonderful time visiting friends and relatives rela-tives while there. Mrs. George Pulos has been visiting in Salt Lake City for the past week. Lt. and Mrs. Kirk C. Wilkins visited for a week with his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wilkins, enroute from Corpus Christi, Texas, to San Diego, where Lt. Wilkins will be assigned to his squadron. Houseguests of Mrs. Elon Taylor last week-end were Mr. and Mrs. Claude Empey, of Price. Mr. and Mrs. Dwain Buchanan plan to leave Sunday for Salina, where Mrs. Buchanan and the twins, Jack and Jill, will remain several weeks with Mrs. Buchanan's Bu-chanan's mother. Mrs. Bertha Herbert, who fell recently and broke her leg. Mr. Buchanan will attend a store managers' meeting being- held in Salem next Tuesday. OESERVES BIRTHDAY ; Mrs. Mary Eskelson observed her 84th birthday Wednesday when a family dinner was held in her honor. Relatives coming from Kamas to spend the day with her were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Phillips, her sister and brother-in-law; Mrs Millie Pendleton, Mrs. Julia Robinson, and son, Woodrow. A beautifully decorated birthday birth-day cake highlighted the occasion. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse C. Birtcher left this week for a vacation trip. They planned to stop in Salt Lake City and get Mr. and Mrs. Harold Birtcher and son, Brent, and from there go to Rig-gins, Rig-gins, Idaho, where they will visit with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Law-rence Birtcher and small daughter, daugh-ter, Ann. While there they will enjoy the salmon run. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Larsen arid son, Ford, drove to Emery and Ferron last week end to visit relatives. Visiting a few days this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dwain Buchanan were his sister and bother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hafen and three children of Cedar City. Mr. Hafen is the manager of the Cedar City Safeway store. Leaving Thursday to make their home in Ogden wer" Mr. and Mrs. Sabe Timothy and son, Kelly. The Timothys have ben Roosevelt residents for the past twenty years. Mr. Timothy is employed at Hill Field. Mrs. Tom Halen left last Friday Fri-day for Calgary.
