Show ATTEND TESTIMONIAL A very large crowd attended the testimonial given for Allen Gines Sunday evening, March 18 at the chapel. Arvin Bellon and Cecil Jenkins were the speakers. Connie Stevens and Kay Timothy and Ida Andrews of Roosevelt sang a trio; Patsy Gines rendered a piano solo. Remarks were made by Mr. and Mrs. Ned Gines, Allen Gines and 3ishop Golden Collins. Allen will leave for Denver this week. Mr. and' Mrs. Frank Bingham who have been in Logan since Frank's release from service where he has been enrolled at the USAC, are now living at the Charles Bingham home. Mr. and Mrs. Arden Robbins were visitors one day this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Shisler. Mrs. Robbins is a sister of Mrs. Shisler and her husband has just returned from duties in the service, from overseas, where he' has been for over a year. Mrs. Phelps, of the U. of U., spent last week in the room of Mrs. Mary Burgess as an observation observa-tion teacher of student teaching. Mrs. Leonard Betts, of Eureka, Calif., and two children, who are stying with her parents at Duchesne, Du-chesne, spent two days last week visiting at the Clarence Betts' home. Mr. and Mrs. Elmont Lemon and family of Magna, spent the weekend week-end at the Calven Squire home. Mr. Lemon bought the farm recently re-cently vacated by the Wilmer Par-rishes Par-rishes and' plans to move his family fam-ily here when school is out. Earl Winn made two trips to Provo last week for the government. govern-ment. Phillip Merkley, Mrs. Wendell Johnson and Alton Johnson went to Altamont on Friday to attend the Rural Education Conference. They all teach at Roosevelt Junior High School. An Easter program will be given on Sunday in Sunday School on April 1st. 1 |
