Show j LeetonBeooett Fern Houston Lowell D. Long Is To Fill Mission Monday evening, April 2, at the Bennett church a missionary party will be given for Lowell D. Long who will leave in a couple of j weeks for the LDS Mission Home. Lowell has been working in Cali fornia and has quit his work to go on a mission. Minneapolis, i Minn, will be his headquarters. Everybody is invited. Mr. and' Mrs. Von Haslem entertained enter-tained at their home Friday evening eve-ning for three sisters and their husbands from Vernal: Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Horrocks, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Ab Price. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Haslem and son, Wayne and John Haslem made the birthday a pleasant pleas-ant event. Television, games, visiting visit-ing and refreshments were enjoyed. en-joyed. Mr. and Mrs. George Jenkins visited in Salt Lake City at the home of Dwayne Knobles. Mrs. Carl HalL entertained at a surprise family dinner honoring Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Hall. It was a surprise' for Darrell, being his birthday. They left Sunday evening eve-ning for their home in Salt Lake. Mr and Mrs. Verl Haslem were visiting here a few days last week. Verl is attending the BYU. Last week Mrs. Frances Bowen took her father, John Horrocks to Salt Lake City for medical treatment. At present Mr. Horrocks Hor-rocks is feeling fairly well. Heber Hall visited with John Bolton Sunday. Mrs. George Houston spent a couple of days in Salt Lake, for medical treatment The family of Blayne Morrill were' dinner guests at the home of Winfred Long. Mrs. Nell- Horrocks spent Saturday Satur-day afternoon visiting at the home nf Florence Adams in Roosevelt. . Mrs. Frances Bowen and Mrs. Gladys Zimmerman attended the very lovely Junior Prom given at the Union High School. Boyoe (Bowen of Spanish Fork was a visitor over the weekend at the home of France's Bowen. Myron Haslem has taken his wife and son to Salt Lake. They named the new son Arvin Wendall. The ward Primary conference was held Sunday afternoon, with Mrs. Velois Morrill as a stake visitor. Miss Gwena McKee spent Wednesday Wed-nesday night visiting at the home of Loraine Long. Morna Booth, who is teaching school in Lake Town, Utah, las week had the misfortune of getting get-ting a fracture vertabrae while teaching a class in gym. She' has been in a hospital the past .week in Salt Lake. At present she is at the home of her sister, Mrs. Merlin Werner. |
