Show High Uinta Scout GaiftB leads 15 To Aid In Program Applications for the 15' spots on the 1956 High Uinta Scout Camp Junior Staff are being received until un-til May 1, affording Explorers of the Uintah Basin who can qualify the opportunity to apply, according accord-ing to Rulon Dean Skinner, Field ScQut Executive. . .. Five requirements are listed for young men wishing to apply: (1) Be a registered Explorer; (2) Live the Scout Oath and Law in his daily life; (3) have demonstrated leadership in his unit;, (4) if accepted, ac-cepted, present himself in complete com-plete Explorer uniform at the camp; (5) be 15 years of age' by July 1, 1956. Members of the Junior Staff are trained to be assistants to the camp staff in the administration of the camp. i As one of the elements in the development and expansion of the High Uinta Camp program, the High Uinta Camp committee voted in its February 8 meeting to in-1 crease from 7 to 15 the size of the Junior Staff. Explorers making application will be asked to form the "Service Patrol" for their respective district dis-trict camporee, where High Uinta Camp officials will chat with each one individually in an effort to secure the Explorers with spe-cefic spe-cefic interests and talents. Last year's Junior Staff consisted con-sisted of: Orin Barker, Duchesne; Phil. Brotherson and Ralph Dono-hue, Dono-hue, Talmage; Neil Anderton, Kent Robison and John Percival, Roosevelt; Roose-velt; and Johnny Johnson, Vernal. Applications should be mailed to Rulon Dean Skinner, Box 341, Roosevelt. Names of the 1956 Junior Staff will be released June 1st. |
