Show Cheryl Brown "Miss Utah' Honored At Garden Reception Miss Utah, lovely brunette, Cheryl Brown, was complimented at a tea Thursday between the hours of 5:00 and 6:30 p.m. following follow-ing her fashion revue presented in the afternoon UBIC department depart-ment for women and teen-agers. The patio and lawn of the C N. Memmott residence provided pro-vided the setting for the social event, with approximately one hundred guests calling during the appointed hour. In the receiving line with Miss Utah were her mother, Mrs. O. J. Brown of Spanish Fork, Mrs. Fran Harrison, Mrs. George Stewart and Mrs. Parley Rawlings- Presiding at the tea table were Mrs. Paul Murphy and Mrs. Lon Logan. A lovely Italian cutwork cloth covered the table, which was centered cen-tered with a beautiful arrangement of pale pink gladioli in a low crystal bowl. Assisting Mrs. Memmott as receptionist re-ceptionist and committee members I were Mrs. C- L. Ashton, Mrs. Theron Leavitt, Mrs. Marion Bowman, Bow-man, Mrs. Dwain Buchanan and Mrs George Wallace. Girls serving included the Misses Pam Harmston, Ann Murphy, Deanna Bowman, Linda Schmiett, Laura Ann Leavitt, Joan Wallace and Deanna Barnam. Program numbers were as follows: fol-lows: piano duets, Linda Schmiett and Laura Ann Leavittt; vocal and piano entertainment, Mrs. Jay S. Fitzgerald;, vocal quartet, Laura Lerdahl, Leato Pitt, Margaret Huber and Billie Reidhead; piano solo, Miss Marilyn Anderson, UBIC queen. Members of Roosevelt civic clubs, UBIC committee members and wives of committee members comprised the guest list for the tea. ' |
