Show Fort Duchesne By Norma Denver Phone 62244 DINNER SERVED BY FORT DUCHESNE CLUB The officers of the Fort Du-V Du-V chesne Women's Club, Mary Carter, Cart-er, Marrion Massey, Mary La Rose, Juanitta Crow and JQanitta Williams cooked and served a delicious de-licious barbecued turkey dinner to over 50 guests Thursday evening. The occasion was to honor the husbands for all the work they have done this summer on the club building. A new roof has been put on, and a paint job completed. The grounds have been landscapped, and a sprinkling system installed. We are indeed proud of our building.- The evening was spent square dancing. Four special guests were present and two new members. Mrs. , Nola Larsen of Salt Lake City is visiting at the Elmer Denver Den-ver home for a few weeks. While here her first great grandchild was born to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Denver. She also won the electric blanket at the UBIC Mr. and Mrs. Paul Howard and j family of South Dakota were here visiting at the Wilson Gutzman residence for a few days. They were former, residents here. It's a lttle sad to see the last two old homes in the Fort being torn down. These weTe considered mansions in the early days, and their removal really leaves a bare spot. Do you know what the UBIC stands for? "U. B there and IH C you." (Overheard on the street).. |
