Show Local Woman's Father Dies Alma F. Borg, 73. father of Mrs. Elmer (Josephine) Yergensen, died Sunday at the home of a daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Kathleen Allred, in Sigurd, Utah.. He was born Feb-25, Feb-25, 1883, in Eph'raim, a son of Ole Peter and Josephine Nielsen Borg. He married Laura Mae Simpson in Salt Lake City, Oct. 18, 1911. She died July 9, 1945. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Surviving are 3 sons, William and Joseph Borg, Sigurd; Garth Barg, Richfield; 5 daughters, Mrs. June Lipsey and Mrs. Kathleen Allred, Sigurd; Mrs- Josephine Yergensen, Myton; Mrs. Ruthe Rhoades and Miss Barbara Borg, Salt Lake City; three brothers; 3 sisters; 16 grandchildren. Funeral Fun-eral services were held Wednesday Wed-nesday in the Sigurd Ward Chapel with internment in the Richfield cemetery. MRS. HORSLEY DIES Erma Greenhalgh Horsley, 60, died Sunday at the family home in Salt Lake City of a heart ailment. ail-ment. She was born February 28, 1896, at Provo to Abraham and Mary Henderson Greenhalgh. She married Arthur S. Horsley in Salt Lake, December 24, 1913. A member mem-ber of the LDS Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Unit No. 2 and 8 and 40 Auxiliary. Surviving are her husband, one son, Scott, Salt Lake, one brother Leo Greenhalgh, Ferron. The deceased was well known in the Basin as she was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the wife of A. S. Horsley, department Service Officer of the Legion, who was department Adjutant for many years. |
