Show Raodlett Mrs. J. E. Jensen Church News High councilman Owen F. Burgener visited all Sunday meetings meet-ings here. Speakers at sacrament meeting were Ardel( Olsen, Jen Woodward and Charlette Henrie and Lester Gardner, highcouncilman. Ardell Olsen played a trumphet solo. "Holy City" Charlette Henrie accompanied ac-companied him on the piano. Mrs. Deatha Olsen and Mrs. Lester Gardner of Neola were visitors at Sacrament meeting, accompan-ing accompan-ing the people on the program. Mrs. Leah Chandler was released re-leased as counselor in the YVVMIA and Mrs., Ivy Chandler was sustained sus-tained as activity counselor. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence C. Wall were sustained as Era Directors. Mr. and Mrs. Morton Chandler of Salt Lake are the proud parents of a baby boy born Aug. 9. This is the seventh grandchild of Mr. and Mrs. William T. Chandler. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Wall of Vernal spent Thursday visiting at the Henry Wall home. Miss Beatrice Chandler has gone to. Ririe, Idaho where she will stay at the home of her sister, Mrs Elva McKee. Beatrice will be employed at Idaho Falls. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Jensen and daughters Irene and Joyce spent Thursday visiting in Vernal at the home of Mrs. Lucy Jensen Stake Primary group Two Leaders, Lead-ers, Mrs. Veloy Morrel and son, Stewart were visitors ' at our primary Tuesday. Birthday parties par-ties were enjoyed' in the different classes. The Avalon girls softball team played the Roosevelt Fourth ward Monday evening.. This game was the last game for them of the season. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Gillian and daughter Karen of Sandy spent the weekend visiting at the home of Mrs. Gillians parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Barney. Mrs. Lucy Jensen of Vernal spent Monday visiting at the home or hed niece, Mrs. J. E. Jensen Melton Stoddard of Salt Lake spent the' weekend visiting at the home of his parents, Bishop and Mrs. Bert Stoddard. Mrs. Ivy Chandler took Loye Harris and Diane Taylor to Roosevelt Roose-velt where they received dancing instructions at Union High school. Mrs. Marion Shelton and son Duane of Roosevelt spent Saturday visiting at the home of her parents. par-ents. Clyde Jarman of Manila spent the weekend visiting his parents., Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Jorgensen attended the Golden Wedding anniversary an-niversary of Mr. and Mrs. Heber Powell, of Vernal Wednesday evening. eve-ning. Mrs. Powll is Mrs. Jorgen-sens Jorgen-sens oldest sister. Mr. and Mrs1. Calvin Jorgensen attended the Rasmussen reunion at Provo Saturday The Jorgensens were overnight visitors at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Jorgensen of Spanish Fork. They brought their little granddaughter, grand-daughter, Zeline home with them. Austin Wardle left Thursday morning for Detroit, Mich, to get a new' School bus for the Uintah School district. Mr. and Mrs.. Mariner McMuilin ' -and family visited the Willow Creek branch Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Taylor and daughter, Diane attended a family gathering in Vernal Sunday |
