Show County Fair Plans Are Near Completion Stage . Plans are progressing satisfactorily satisfac-torily toward a veTy successful ! county fair for Duchesne Cbnuty, which will be held on Aug. 30, 31 and Sept. 1. This announcement was made following a board meeting meet-ing last week, by Weston Bates, Ducesne, chairman of the committee. com-mittee. (Reports at the meeting last week indicated the concessions had been . assigned to the Duchesne Elder's Quorum, the Duchesne Hospital board and Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Four applications were received. All names were placed in a hat and' the names drawn were awarded the conses-sion conses-sion stands at the city park where the fair will be held. Valuable Prizes As in the past several yeais valuable livestock gifts will be given away. Tickets will be sold and the person holding the lucky ticket will win either a fat calf, lamb, pig or turkey. Presenting the gifts will culminate - the fair pro-grom pro-grom at the night rodeo on Sat., September 1. Kid's Fish Pond Another interesting announcement announce-ment for all kids 12 years and younger, is the assurance of another an-other fish pond in which 300 legal fish will be planted Time of opening open-ing of the pond will be announced later, but in the meantime all Junior Isaac Waltons can begin to prepare for the big day. Mrs. Arnold Robbins, Duchesne, chairman of the parade committee, reported considerable interest was being manifest in preparing floats to enter the parade which will be held about 1 p.m. on Saturday. All organizations, individuals or business busi-ness concerns in the county are urged to enter a float in the parade. par-ade. The committee entered a float in the UBIC parade last week in Reosevelt. Lloyd Smith, county agent for west Duchesne County, was in charge of the float- The next meeting of the committee com-mittee will be held at the court house in Duchesne next Monday, August 20, at 8 p.m. .
