Show &LUI Mrs. Garda Seeley Funeral Service Held Funeral services for Christopher Columbus Bristol were conducted vvcunesaay at l pm. in the Bluebell Blue-bell chapel with Bishop Earl Murray Mur-ray conducting. The following program pro-gram was presented: opening song "Sometime We'll , Understand," Thelma Cook and Zella Goodrich-invocation, Goodrich-invocation, Wm. O. Larsen; solo! "Oh, My Father," by Grant Peel; 1st speaker, Leslie B Goodrich; 2nd speaker, E. L. Murphy solo! "Goin' Home," by Dale Cummings Benediction, Walter Remington. Burial was in the Bluebell cem-etary cem-etary with Leslie B. Goodrich dedicating the grave. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Pierson and son Duane returned to their home in Salt Lake City on Sunday after visiting a few days here with Mr. and Mrs. Wm. O. Larsen. Mr. and Mrs.. Ted Harmston of Roosevelt and Mr. and Mrs. Max Owen , and family of Salt Lake visited Sunday at the Leslie B. Goodrich home. Mr. and Mrs. John Goodrich, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Goodrich and Mr and Mrs. Leslie B Goodrich attended at-tended funeral services for Cyrus Larsen at Roosevelt Saturday. CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY Among those helping Phyliss Powell celebrate her 13th birthday birth-day on Tuesday were Jean Rem ington, Jeanne Seeley, LaRee Larsen, Lar-sen, Rosie Bird, Clara Stevenson, Jimmy Seeley, Chad Winkler, Morris Goodrich, Edgar Cook, Kirk Larsen, Barry Gale, Diann Thomas, and Lloyd Murray. Punch, ice cream and cake were I served to all. They spent the afternoon after-noon playing games. Mrs. Vivian Powell and Mrs. Lucy Timothy left : Sunday for I Salt Lake to attend funeral services for Ernest Babcock, a former resident of Mt Emmons and a brother-in-law to Mrs. Powell. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lattumer visited Saturday and Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. M. C. ..Seeley. The Latturners were enroute to their home in Price, following a vacation vac-ation to North Dakota and other points of interest. Mr. and Mrs. Orland Murray' and family of Roosevelt spent Sun- day here visiting with the Earl Murrays. Mr. and Mrs. Tal. Bird and three children of Salt Lake spent the weekend visiting here with Mr. and' Mrs. James I. Bird. Mrs. Iva Jensen and children of Elmo are here visiting her' parents, Mr .and Mrs. Isaac Bird.) GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY j Those attending the Golden Wedding anniversary party for Mr. and Mrs. Heber Powell Wednesday evening at the Naples chapel in Vernal, were Mr. and Mrs. John Goodrich, Mr. and Mrs. Fred' Goodrich, Good-rich, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Winkler, Wink-ler, Mrs.. Maxine Todd, Mrs. Lucy Timothy, Mr. and Mrs. James W. Powell and Mr. and Leslie B. Goodrich. The Heber Powell family fami-ly lived in Bluebell for six years. There home here is now serving as a granery for Gardner L Goodrich, Good-rich, who bought the home and farm from the Powells. Mrs. Powell was the first school teacher in Bluebell and she taught in this house. Mr. Powell's mother, who is 86 years old, was present at the party. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wounacott and family of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Msrrell and family of Sail Lake City were visiting at the Bernard Winkler home during the week. Mr and Mrs. Martin L. Hancock Han-cock of Salt Lake City visited here during the week with relatives. rela-tives. They moved some of their belongings to their new home. MUTUAL PARTY The Mutual held a wiener roast at the community Park on Tuesday evening. The Young people and their leaders had a very enjoyable time. A program and singing around the campfire climaxed the evening. HEART OPERATION AIDS GIRL Mr. and Mrs Leslie B. Goodrich- have received - word from their little grandaUghter, Wendy, 6. daughter of .LaRene and Blaine Kimball that she has returned to her home in Price following a very serious heart operation at the General Hospital in Salt Lake City. Without this operation on her heart Wendy was given little or no hope to ever live the life of a normal healthy girl. The operaton was performed by a famous heart specialist. Following the operation many complications set in, but her condition is now improving and she will soon be completely recovered. Mr. and Mrs. Neal Carter and small son of Cedar City were in Buebell Thursday .evening saying "hello" to old friends. Mrs. Carter will be remembered as the former Rea Therning. |
