Show i Annual Tax Sale Set For Jan. 11 I By Duchesne Co. 1 The annual tax sale in Du-I Du-I chesne County is to be conducted conduct-ed at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 11, at the courthouse in Duchesne Du-chesne City. At that time, the county takes an equity in the real estate for the amount of all unpaid taxes for 1953, plus penalties and costs. Real estate, on which there is unpaid 1953 taxes does not go to final tax sale until May, four years hence. The 1953 tax plus 2 per cent penalty and $1 advertising cost may be paid until time of sale, cancelling that parcel of land from the tax sale listing. Collections at the Nov. 0 deadline and as of Jan. 5 have been announced by Mrs. Flor- i ence Poulson, county treasurer. I Some 83.61 per cent of the total to-tal taxes of $408,780.52 charged to her for collection, had been collected through Nov. 30. As of Jan. 5, this figure had raised to 86.38 per cent, of $341,784.74 total collection.
