Show LeetonB ennetl Mrs. Fern Houston Out Of ISospitaS Mrs. Frances Bowen returned home Dec. 31 from the hospital, bringing home her father, John J. Horrocks. While Mr. Hor-rocks Hor-rocks was in the hospital, six of his brothers and one sister visited him, besiide's a number of friends. Little Gordon and Marie Col-tharp Col-tharp are so happy to have a new sister, which came to Mr. and Mrs. Ned Coltharp at the Roosevelt Hospital, Dec. 23. The baby answers to the name of Terry Lou. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Horrocks Hor-rocks and Mr. and Mrs. Otis Horrocks were guests of Mrs. Alice White at Vernal, New Year's Day. Byron Horrocks returned to his base at Bay Samoa, Calif., after having spent the holidays with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Bowen and Frances Bowen ' and John Horrocks were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Coltharp in Roosevelt on New-Year's New-Year's Day. Lorraine Bolton and family were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Harrison, at Neola, on New Year's Day. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. and Mr. and Mrs. Ned Coltharp entertained enter-tained at an open house. New Year's Eve party, guests from Vernal, Rangely, and Roosevelt Roose-velt were there. About 60 guests enjoyed the last of the old and the beginning- of the New Year. Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Miller visited vis-ited at the Winfred Long home on New Year's Day. Mrs. Cliff Graham, of Long Beach, Calif., a cousin of Horace Coltharp, is visiting at the W. H. Coltharp home. She will be here for some time. Miss Margie Scurlock is home ! for the holidays. She is attending attend-ing high school at Nampa, Idaho. She visited with the George Houstons Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Eolton were hosts at a New Year's dinner din-ner for her mother, Mrs. John McKowcn, of Vernal; Mr. and Mrs. John Bolton and Garr Bolton. Bol-ton. Mi-, and Mrs, Carl Hall were Salt Lake visitors part of the vacation. Mr. Hall is a school bus diver. Mrs. Dale Nelson cared for their home and family while they were away. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Gardner, Gard-ner, of San Bruno, Calif., visited here through the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Bolton spent the holidays at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Durfee, of Avalon. Kenneth Long went to Rose-ville, Rose-ville, Calif, to visit his sister, Mrs. Don Palmer, and get a check-up at the Stanford University Univer-sity Clinic, where he has been taking medical treatment. Mrs. Henry Tidwell took a group of boys and girls to Mt. Emmons, skating and coasting. She served them a hot lunch. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Coltharp gave a New Year's Eve dinner for his employees and some friends. After dinner they went to Myton to dance the old year out and the New Year in. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Houston enjoyed the New Year's Day at Whiterocks with their grandchildren grand-children and their son and daughter-in-law, the Ray Houston's. Hous-ton's. Mr. and Mrs. Lorraine Bolton visited in Vernal Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Houston and Mrs. Isobel Harmston had a fine trip to Winslow and Flagstaff, Flag-staff, Arizona, returning by way of the Grand Canyon of Colorado. Mrs. Frances Bowen attended the funeral of Joe Bowen at Spanish Fork. Mr. Bowen was the oldest brother of the late J. P. Bowen. Mr. and Mrs. Winfred Long and family were dinner guests at Duchesne with their son, Norman, Nor-man, and family. Mr. and Mrs. John Haslem spent New Year's day in Vernal at the home of her mother, Mrs. William Hartle. Ten boys and girls enjoyed a skating party at the home of Mrs. Frances Bowen. The party was given by Kaye Bowen, who served a hot lunch at her home after the skating. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Coltharp and Mrs. Bertha Graham were j dinner guests at the home of the George Houstons, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Arbin Wilkerson had their little son christened at church. Sunday. The little man will go by the name of Jed Arbin Wilkerson. |
