Morril'l EHis Morrill Home Scene Of Dinner Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Lamor-eaux, Lamor-eaux, of Vernal; Mrs. Eve Wilson, Wil-son, of Roosevelt; Mr. and Mrs. and Mrs. Dellis Morril, Mr. and Ivan Morrill and family, Mr. Mrs. Clinton Morrill and Mr. and Mrs. Marion Morrill met Sunday afternoon at the Ellis Morrill home for a family dinner din-ner and get-to-gether. Moosman and Flora Harvey, i Mr. and Mrs. Winfred Long, ; of Bennett, visited New Year's , night with Mr. and Mrs. Blayne Morrill and family. Barbara Morrill, who has been living in Roosevelt for the past two years, moved home this week. The Sunday evening services were under the direction of the Genealogy committee, with J. R. McKee conducting the meeting. meet-ing. Speakers were: Darrell Morrill and Owen , Bartlett. A special musical number was presented pre-sented by the ward choir. Grant Bartlett, of Bonanza, visited during the week with Mr. and Mrs. Owen Goodrich and family. CHURCH HAS XMAS ACTIVITY Tuesday evening of last week Santa Claus was present at the Primary party and program. He talked to all the children and handed them treats. Christmas night the M. I. A. sponsored a dance at the chapel. Dancing was to Smith's orchestra. orches-tra. A brightly lighted and decorated dec-orated Christmas tree was the center of attraction. DeLoy Duncan of Long Beach, Calif., spent Christmas here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Morrill and family. Eldred and Elmond Wilson spent Christmas here with their father, John T. Wilson. Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Simmons and son, Leon, of Clearfield, spent last weekend visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Far-rell Far-rell Simmons. Other visitors at the Simmons' home during the I week were, Orson Harvey, Lila j Harmon, Wallace Harvey, Mr. I and Mrs. Dennis Harvey and I family and Mr. and Mrs. Jay I Harvey and family. Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Good rich took Mr. and Mrs. Darrell I Goodrich to Provo, Saturday to see their son, Kay, who was spending a very short furlough there from the Army. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Goodrich, Good-rich, of San Diego, Calif., spent Christmas Day visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Goodrich and Mr. and Mrs. Rae Goodrich. Dennis was on a short leave from the U. S Navy. Leon Davies and Gloria Stok- er, of Salt Lake City, were weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs Boyd Lemon. Mr. and Mrs. Val Ross and family and Mrs. Garth Ross and son, of Vernal, spent the Christmas Christ-mas weekend visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Laren Ross and family. Mr. and Mrs. Duane McKee and family accompanied Mrs. Carma Cook and family and Mrs. Ida Bowthorpe, of Vernal, to Salt Lake City a few days last week for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. LaVon Morrill and family, of Orem, visited Saturday and Sunday at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Morrill and Mr. and Mrs. Laren Ross. Mr. and Mrs. Dewey McKon-kie McKon-kie and family, of Salt Lake, visited a few days during the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Shardon Morrill and family. A missionary homecoming party honored Owen Bartlett and Forrest Goodrich Wednesday Wednes-day evening at the chapel. Dancing Dan-cing and a program were enjoyed. en-joyed. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Preece, of Vernal, were visitors Sunday of last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dellis Morrill. The bishopric made their annual an-nual visit to the ward members this past week. Many cottage meetings were held in connection connec-tion with the ward teaching. Ralph Preece, of Vernal, visited visit-ed Wednesday in Tridell with his sister, Mrs. Dellis Morrill. Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Smith and family and Mr., and Mrs. Don Simmons and son were din- uer guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs Wm. K. Harvey on New Year's Day. FAMILY GET-TO-GETHER ON NEW YEAR'S DAY The Davis Morrills had a family dinner, and get-to-gether New Year's Day at the family home. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Morrill, Mor-rill, of San Diego, Calif., were home, Lyle on a leave from the U. S. Navy. Wayne and Ray Moosman vis-, ited in Provo during the Christmas Christ-mas holidays with their sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Bartlett. George Harvey spent the week visiting in Salt Lake City, with his sisters and their families, fam-ilies, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Wallace, Wal-lace, and Mr. and Mrs. Merwin Gillis. Benjamin Slaugh, of Vernal, is the high council representative representa-tive in Tridell for the next two months. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Glines and family visited Sunday afternoon af-ternoon in Boneta with Mr. and Mrs. Orlan Oman. Mr Oman is on furlough from the U. S. Army. Mrs. Oman, who has been living in Tridell with her parents, par-ents, will return to California with her husband, who will leave Tuesday to report back to Fort Ord. |
