Show See Poll Film A polio' film was presented at the Myton LDS ward chapel Monday evening, under the direction di-rection of the chairman of the March of Dimes campaign, Mrs. A. C. Tolboe, and her co-chairman, Mrs. Rex Lamb, and Mrs. Forrest Hancock, chairman of Pleasant Valley. A delicious buffet buf-fet lunch was served prior to presenting the film and was greatly enjoyed by a large attendance. at-tendance. One million children under 7 years will receive the polio innoculation on Feb. 8th and will again be examined in October to determine the success suc-cess of the ' innoculation. The film portrayed clearly the use of this new drug and proved a very interesting topic. Musical selections by Miss Alice Smith were enjoyed during the evening. eve-ning. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Murray and children returned to Morgan Mor-gan last week after a holiday visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Murray's parents. D. E. Swarm, of Salt Lake City, who will soon take up his position as supervisor at the Myton My-ton Pump Station on the Range-ly-Salt Lake Pipeline, was attending at-tending to his duties here during dur-ing the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Thomas returned re-turned home Thursday from Areata, Ar-eata, Calif., where they were Christmas visitors at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Purcell. They visited briefly in Salt Lake City when returning and were accompanied by Mr. and Ms. Ted Thomas, Jr. and family, who spent the New Year's holiday holi-day weekend her, returning to' Salt Lake Sunday. LEAVE COMMUNITY Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Schuckers, Schuck-ers, daughter Sally, and son, Jim, ' left Sunday. The young folks will resume their studies at Wasatch Academy, while Mr. and Mrs. Schuckers will continue con-tinue on to Boise, Idaho, where Mr. Schuckers will be supervisor super-visor at the Boise plant of the Rangely - Salt Lake Pipeline. They were widely entertained before leaving for their new home. The Schucker family has resided here since the opening of the pumping station, where Mr. Schuckers was supervisor during the past 3 years, and their many friends regret their departure. Mr. and Mrs. Erastus Curtis and grandchildren, of Roosevelt, were dinner guests at the home, of Mr. and Mrs. Nephi Porritt on New Year's Day. Mrs. O. W. Sanders, of Long Beach, California, has been a guest at the home of her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Par-rish, Par-rish, during the holiday season. Her husband is serving in Korea. Kor-ea. Mrs. Sanders is the former Maxine Parrish. Dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Emery Nielsen on New Year's Day were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bird and family and Mr. and Mrs. S. O. Solmon-son, Solmon-son, of Arcadia, who all joined in a family dinner. Mrs. Nielsen is still confined to her wheer-chair wheer-chair and the family decided to celebrate at her home. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Richardson, Thursday, were: Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sizemore and two children, chil-dren, who were enroute to Vernal Ver-nal from their home in Salt Lake City. Dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Loyal Perry, Sunday Sun-day were, Mr. and Mrs. Kay Alexander Al-exander and daughter, Pat, and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Jones and daughter, Kathleen, of Richfield who had been visiting relatives in Roosevelt and were enroute home. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Creech and family, of Salt Lake City, were visitors at the C. M. Richardson Rich-ardson home during the New Year weekend. Joan Funk, who has been home during the holicfays to visit vis-it her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Funk, left Saturday for Price, where she will visit her roommate before the two girls return to Wasatch Academy to resume their studies. Faye Robinson returned to Wasatch Academy last week, going go-ing to Salt Lake City for a brief visit with relatives. R. C Walker returned Monday Mon-day from Salt Lake City, where he enjoyed the holidays with his wife and daughter. He is time-keeper for the Reynolds' Construction Co. and reports the "onstruction of the Highway 40 project from Myton ton Bridge-land Bridge-land will be resumed this week. Louis Uresk and Miss Corinne Blomquist left Thursday to return re-turn to Chicago, after a 10-day visit at the home of Mr. and M":. Matt Uresk. Sr., Mr. Ur-esk's Ur-esk's parents, Louis is attending the Northwestern Dental college at Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Judd left this week for the Black Hawk Coal Mine near Coalville, where they will attend to their mining interests during the next three months. |
