Show .Oldest Resident Dies At 102 FYJ ember Ute Tribe Final rites were held on Tuesday for Mrs. Josie Piah, 102, who is believed to be the oldest resident of this area, at the Ouray Community house, with Warren Jones, ' district president of the Uintah Uin-tah Basin Indian Mission, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mrs. Piah, who has resided in Roosevelt for many years, died at her home on Friday, Jan. 1, at 4 p.m. She was a member of the Ute tribe and had resided on the Uintah-Ouray Uintah-Ouray Indian, Reservation most of her life. Survivors include a niece, Maude Jinks, Ouray, and three nephews, John, William Wil-liam and William Tabbee, all of Ouray. Burial was in the Ouray cemetery, under the direction of the Dillman Mortuary. |
