Show Subnormal Snow Fall Found In Indian Canyon The snow depth in the head of Indian Canyon is slightly higher than last year at this time, and is only approximately 1-3 of the 1952 measurements. Measurements were taken on . Jan. 4th and revealed that the average snow depth is 15.25 in. with a water content of 3.63 in. The average snow depth since 1936 is 22 62 in. with a water content of 4.32 in. The measurements measure-ments taken on Jan. 1, 1952 showed a snow depth of 45.4 in. with a water content of 11.1 in. The snow survey was made by Merlin I. Bishop, of the Forest For-est Service, and Gilbert R. Hor-rocks, Hor-rocks, of the Soil Conservation Service. |
