Show j Honor Birthday j A family gathering in honor of their mother's birthday was held at the home of Mrs. Olive Sorensen. The guests were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Larsen and family fam-ily of Arcadia; Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Sorensen and family of Roosevelt, and Mr. and Mrs. Dean Washburn of Ioka. Mrs. Smith Mecham has been a guest at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Tanner of Myton. Pheasant hunters spending the weekend at the Tom Gen-1 try ranch were Dr. Sharp and son, Byron, Kay and Hi Saun-j ders, Nick Morgan and Mary Louise Wilson, all of Salt Lake City. At the Henry Nelsons' this weekend pheasant hunting were Mr. and Mrs. Mont Ellett and family, of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Nelson, of Roosevelt, and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Sweat from Vernal. Mr. and Mrs. Devon Gentry, of Myton, spent Saturday evening eve-ning at the Lloyd Jensen home. Pheasant hunters at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Spencer this weekend were Rulon Han-dock Han-dock and Sandy Ike Hancock, Paul', Bud and Fred Nurley, Mr. and Mrs. Carl F. Johnsen and .family, Ronald Youngberry, Jerry and Gordon Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Gilbert, Ernest Wilkerson and son and Howard Swan, all of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Senor Mcwtensen is visiting vis-iting her daughter. Mrs. Paul Ward, in Long Mont, Colo. Ohella Workman, from Duchesne, Du-chesne, spent Saturday with her cousin, Florence Ames. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Jones and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Foote and family spent the weekend in Levan. I Wayne Ames made a trip to Elk Springs, Sunday to assist Mr. and Mrs. Ray Jones, who were coming to Ioka from Denver Den-ver and developed car trouble. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Lemon went to Vernal Friday to attend at-tend to some business. While there they went on to Jensen and visited Mrs. Lemon's two brothers, Roy and Alvin Timothy. Timo-thy. Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Ed-win Peterson and 3 children, of Salt Lake City, visited Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Webb. Their son Reni Peterson, stayed over to visit Sunday. Other visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Roy French and son, of Bountiful, . and Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Webb and 3 Children, of Artesia, Colo. They all went pheasant hunting. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Drolflinger and two children, and Charlene Stone, of Salt Lake City, were weekend visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Garrett Stone. Mr. and Mrs. Theron Benson and children, of Grand Junction, Junc-tion, Colo., spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Archie Benson. Ben-son. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Johanson and 4 children, of Salt Lake City, were Sunday visitors of Mrs. J. Angus. She also had Mr. and Mrs. Glen Rermund and 3 girls of Duchesne, and Mrs. Hugh Peroival and children as visitors Sunday afternoon. .Mr. and Mrs. Otto Lloyd were visitors of Mr.' and Mrs. Shelby Lisontoee at Bridgeland, Sunday afternoon. Leo Haueter, MIA stake board member, was a visitor at Mutual Tuesday night. Visiting Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. James Lloyd were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lemon and children, chil-dren, of Vernal; Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Webb and children, of Colorado, and Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Flagolli and children, of Salt Lake City. Also returning return-ing home and enjoying the family fam-ily gathering was Miss Dean Lloyd, who has been in Salt Lake City the past two months. Dean will remain at home. Mr. and Mrs. Wait Zobell and two sons, of Provo, visited over the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. James Zobell. |
